Enjoyable
Very enjoyable easy read! Jackie Kennedy certainly didn’t have an easy marriage!

Compulsively Readable - But Let Down By Extremely Weird Language
OK...I bought this the second I knew it existed. Fictionalised biographies are my favourite thing and this one was just too tempting to pass up.And I'm glad I read it. Just the (imagined) phone call between Jackie and Marilyn Monroe is worth the price of admission. The font and the margins are small; this is a book you will spend many happy hours reading.BUT...if you are a reader bothered by anachronism or shoddy research...you have been warned. Nobody in the 1960s used the term "African Americans". Nobody said "the baby passed" (eyeroll). And did Mrs Thornton not think to speak to a Catholic about Catholic prayer and ritual? Prayers get the wrong names and words...and all the Kennedys seem to have travelled with a rosary in every pocket (don't forget the extra one in Bobby's sock!).Lots (and LOTS) of stuff like that, folks. After a while it was funny to me...but perhaps it would not be so to you. Penguin Random House ($$$) is the publisher here. NO EXCUSE for not fact-checking the book.
