Beautiful quality. Both the cover and pages inside were just gorgeous! This is a very substantial book with detailed pictures and text. It weighs a ton. The pages were very well laid out and the paper was high-end.

I've had it for a few weeks only and am still in the '50s, just soaking up every word... Extremely well written (as Vanity Fair always is), it's a an American history chronicle as well as the iconic magazine's evolution through time. Reads like a novel and feels like a "behind the scenes" at the Oscars at every point in time, with all the celebrity tidbits... so much more than a coffee table book! If you enjoy the magazine, you'll love this compilation so masterfully (and lovingly) put together by Mr. Carter and his collaborators.
