Great digital thermometer for a reasonable price
It's working really well in my indoor grow tent , I have the probe hanging from my led light over the plants

Works Well as Advertised
This is a replacement for a similar thermometer I purchased about ten years ago. It lives in my travel trailer. I’ve drilled a hole just the size of the probe under my kitchen window. I’ve slit a plastic soda straw lengthwise which holds the wire and the probe head sticks beyond it. I can then slide the probe through the hole so that it extends about ten inches beyond the side of the trailer. I’ll then slide the wire out about three to four inches so the probe is surrounded by ambient air. The system works great and is very accurate. The max/min feature gives me the extreme for the day. Highly recommended.

accuracy issue
I bought this to replace an old HFT's ID/OD thermometer that was getting a bit erratic. I prefer the wired OD sensor over the cold killing battery types with remote OD sensor, so I ordered this one for that very reason. Before installing it and running the OD sensor through the window, I placed it on top of my computer desk for a week to see how accurate or close to matching the 2 sensors were. Unfortunately the OD sensor reading is about 12 degrees colder than the indoor sensor. For $10 it wasn't worth the trouble of returning it. Update: Apparently I posted the review on this thermometer a few days too soon. I got up this morning and checked it to see what the temp was outside and it was completely dead. Checked the battery and it had just started leaking due to the drain. I installed a new battery and the display started flaking out, the C was showing as a E assuming that meant 'Error' I pulled the battery back out and tried another fresh battery, same thing and it kept going blank. So apparently they only last about 9 months before they crap out.

Good value and temperature accuracy very good......
Good price on these (I bought two (2) for homebrewing), and they are accurate to within 0.9F in a 32F ice bath with lab grade accurate thermometer. Near room temperature, they both read 66.0F and 40% RH (see photo), and the lab thermometer read 66F as well (spot-on). I did not check accuracy to a standard for the Relative Humidity, as I do not use that function, but they both read the same in the photo. Resetting the Hi and Lo readings is a little cumbersome because when RESET is pushed the devices reverts back to degrees C, and must be changed back to degrees F. The diameter of the outdoor probe (without the attachment to stick it on a surface) is about 0.157 inch, or about 5/32 inch. Fits easily into my 1/4 inch thermo-well on fermenters. NOTE: Outdoor humidity is NOT measured unless the entire unit is outdoors, NOT just the probe.

Accurate, Simple, Easy.
I was having difficulty finding a thermometer for my apartment that reliably reported both inside and outside temperatures. This one works great, without having a bunch of features I isn't care about or want. Definitely seems well built, and so far it's always been within 2 degrees of my comparison thermometers (which is plenty accurate, I don't need it to be 100% perfect). PROS: - Price! Very reasonable for a well-built, functional product. - Accurate! Unless you work for the Weather Channel, this is most likely enough for your needs. - Legible! Big numbers, and a clear display make this easy to see from a reasonable distance. CONS: - Display isn't backlit (that's fine for me, but if it's something you want, look elsewhere).

Good item to have
Works as described. I use it to monitor surface temperature of reptile cage using the probe.

Incredibly inaccurate
The indoor reading is okay, but the more important outdoor reading is too high by at least 5 degrees F in the winter, which is significant. Clearly, the manufacturer does little, if any, QA of their product.

Seems to do the job well in my potting shed, but I haven't checked its accuracy.
