A long term user
I bought an earlier versions of 240V Armor more than ten years ago.It performed flawlessly up until three months ago when it started acting up with the heat no coming on at times. Then no more heat and time to replace. I could not have asked or expected anything more out of it.So I bought the newer 7000Watts/240V and received on June 7th.As I was replacing an existing older unit the installation was pretty quick and done on the day of receiving the item.Yesterday I noticed that it had started leaking and part of my garage floor was wet. I took the cover off and noticed where the leak was from.I contacted [email protected] the US service department and after a few and with no time lost in between it was established that I could not do anything to stop the leak and a replacement was put on the pipeline.I am not a young person and in my life have dealt with numerous companies on issues. These people have my respect when not many did or do.

7KW /220V the perfect one for me.
7KW /220V the perfect one for me.You can use it in 3 ranges:Low is 3.0 KWMedium is 3.5High is 7WKI use it mostly in Low that is 3KW which is ideal for heating water that is not too cool for one shower.Just sometimes in medium when water comes really cool and almost never in high which is 7KW.

Garbage
Biggest piece of garbage tankless I have ever bought. Flimsy. No surface mounted entrance for electrical supply.Hot water outlet and cold water outlet are reversed. The thing leaked everywhere. The plastic threading on inlet and outlet are so flimsy it warps. I ended up buying a 7.2k Stiebel. Again, pure garbage.

installation might be beyond average homeowner; pulls 100amps max so pulls some power
This unit is a 24kw, 240v unit. It will need 3 40 amp 2 pole breakers and will require 8 gauge wiring to be installed. Its max pull is 100 amps which is quite a bit of power. Many homes have a 200 amp service so likely this will require some electrical work to be installed unless you are replacing a previous tankless unit. While I was able to install myself, I regularly do electrical and plumbing therefore this might be beyond the average homeowner. Once installed its simple to use. Simply turn the dial to the temp desired and that's about it. The unit runs at 4.65 gal per min assuming your ground water temp is at least 60 degrees. In colder months the water won't get as hot at as high of a flow rate. The unit easily allows for about two showers to be ran at a time. This is an electric unit so keep in mind even though hot water is unlimited, if you use it constantly/frequently, you are likely to see an impact on your electric bill. Overall, this is an efficient whole home unit, but it may be beyond the average homeowner to install if not replacing an existing tankless unit.

Works great
It started off a little dicey, because it wouldn't work after installation. After calling the help number, we were informed about the possibility of cross polarized circuits...yep. THAT should be in the back page of "problem solving", but once corrected, it's AWESOME. Gets up to the set temperature within one minute!

Hot water heater
This heater does not get the water hot but it does get it warm. It is ok to wash dishes but not hot enough to shower. I will keep it because it is for our RV at our deer lease so we don’t use it very often .

Most recommended
This unit has by far exceeded my expectations… I recently renovated my condo and had to replace a 11 year old, corroding 40 gallon water heater. My plumber recommended that I look into a tankless option. I came across this unit and ran it by him just to make sure it would be sufficient for my needs. Needless to say, it was… not to mention, we were both taken back by the low price and great value. The unit appeared to be solid and the installation didn’t take long at all. It’s been over a month and its working great! My wife is definitely happy we got rid of that storage tank water heater.

this unit is not made for 7KW, the relay inside is onlym rated at 25A
The screw to hold power cable is unreachable, the relay that runs the heating elements is under rated for the unit, only 25 amp. At 25 amps that would be right at 6KW, the unit is said to be a 7KW unit, connected to a 30A circuit.I did install it, see what time will tell.
