In the description of the product it states that it is top rack dishwasher safe.

Can i use this as a carafe for a coffee maker? Mine broke and the company doesn't sell replacements

I don’t see why it can’t be used as a carafe for your coffee maker but I haven’t used it that way…just be sure to remove the silicone lid before brewing.

Since it “travels” will it fit in a car cup holder?

It will not fit into a cup holder in a car. It slightly tapers wider towards the bottom of the mug.

can you use the pot to heat up tea or coffee on a small hot plat on low?

Yes, on low. I wouldn't let it boil though
