This hair clay provides a strong hold without making hair feel stiff or greasy. The matte finish looks very natural, and it works well on different hair types. I like that it’s oil free, has a light natural scent, and washes out easily. It also helps add texture and thickness. Great quality product and a little goes a long way.

This product works great for my pixie cut, adding definition and texture with a medium hold that doesn’t look greasy. A little goes a long way, so it will last a long time. Easy to use, though it does leave hands a bit sticky. Overall, a great product for pixie styles.

Edit 6/26/22: So after a couple weeks of using this product, I noticed that it seems to work better on damp hair. Better yet, after you've rubbed it between your hands, use a little water (no more than a drop, or it will begin to wash off), and mix it between your hands again until it gets really creamy, before applying the clay through your hair. It seems to spread more evenly, and the longevity of the hold has been much better. I've also had an easier time combing it through using this method, and getting the look I want to last longer. Granted, the hold still isn't as strong as they say, but it has been working better for me at least. I've bumped it to 4 stars mostly because I like how it's been making my hair feel, and using this trick has been yielding better results. Will update again if I figure out, or find any other tricks. EDIT 6/16/22: I reduced the star rating from a 5 to a 3 after using it for awhile. While everything in the original review still stands, I would like to add that the hold does not hold up in high humidity or sweat. While my hair didn't fall flat, after some time, I would feel it move, and I could run my fingers through my hair as if I had nothing in it at all. One bright side; the product still on the individual hairs assists with setting everything back in place, whether with a comb or my fingers. It also makes my hair feel soft. If they could keep the natural ingredients and increase the hold, this would get a 5 star from me again. ORIGINAL REVIEW I've seen many reviews complain about the smell, and while the scent is its weakest point, in my opinion, it's really not that bad. Like others have mentioned, it smells like lotion, but considering the ingredients, it makes sense. Giving the clay a light scent of something a little more masculine may do the trick (something woodsy or earthy maybe), but I don't know how that would mess with the formula. Seems to hold pretty good, but not the strongest. It's pretty easy to apply too. I'll review again in a week or so, but as of right now, I would reccomend this.

So I've tried many matte finish strong hold hair products from pasts, pomades to creams and clays. My hair is 2" long and very fine. Clays seem to work the best for me and I heard a lot about Smooth Viking's Strong hold matte finish clay so I thought I'd give it a try. After about 3 weeks of use, here are my thoughts. Matte Finish: Five Stars Is it matte finish? Yes! It's one of the better matte finish products I've used. As I'm rubbing it in my hair, it instantly disappears. Meaning there is no shine at all. It gives me a very soft matte finish look which is what I'm going for. Strong Hold: One Star Let me just say again I've been trying a lot of "strong hold matte finish" products and I can understand why it's hard to get a combo of both features in one. Usually a strong hold will come from a gell or pomades but they'll also leave you with a shiny look which is not what I want. With that said, I will say this particular product did not hold my hair at all. As I put it in my hair it would instantly harden before I could even style it and then 30 minutes later my hair would fall as if nothing were in it. I wouldn't even call it a medium hold. In comparison with some other "strong hold" clays, I would have to say it's a light hold. Unfortunately I cannot use this product as I need a strong hold for my hairstyle. Fantastic product at a great price! Incredible hold that keep your hair looking good all day.

I bought it to give to my husband and he liked it very much, it leaves a hard texture to the hairstyle and has a soft and delicious aroma.

I found this amazing product for my husband, who had been searching for something that actually works for his hair. His hair is a bit afro textured, but he’s been using it for two days and loves it just as much as I do. His hair feels set, has a natural matte finish, feels soft, and has a delicious scent. You only need a small amount to achieve a lot. I highly recommend it! It’s an excellent gift for men’s hair care. I’m about to order more; it will never be missing from his care kit.

Perfetta odore molto buono niente a che vedere con il solito odore di vaniglia, cocco ecc... tiene tutto il giorno e non fissa i capelli ma li modella con effetto opaco che non da la sensazione di capello sporco. Si applica bene e si lava facilmente . Provata su capelli corti-medi .
