I was very happy to use my new knife on a heavily crusted, rustic bread with great ease. It sliced beautifully with no trouble at all! So glad to have this addition to my cutting tools!

I've used old bone handled knives for slicing bread (rarely since I didn't bake often) since I was a kid. The same ones, they last forever. They have those really tight slits, hundreds of them. I was just used to it making a mess and bouncing off the bread. The first time I used this knife was a revelation. It sliced cleanly and effortlessly through my freshly baked bread. It glided through, barely leaving any crumbs, making straight beautiful cuts. I'm never going back to an old fashioned bread knife...this is the one for me from now on.

Sharp and large enough for most bakery sourbreads. Have not found anything better in this price range. For extra bonus points, husband took one look at the pink handle and took up musical theatre. Don't cry for me!

Personally I dislike the plastic handle. However this is the best bread knife we have ever had, and we have had many over the past 35 years or so. Ergonomically nice to hold and cuts fresh crusty bread in thin slices so easily. Wish I had found this year's ago and saved a fortune on designer knifes and not been such a snob over plastic handles. I now also have smaller knifes in the same brand also with different colored plastic handles and intend expanding my new collection.
