I'm chronically dehydrated, to the point where if you ask me when the last time I had water, I can't usually answer. The only solution I've found is to keep a water bottle with me - at my desk, in the truck, at the gym. However, finding a decent bottle is easier said than done. I've been through them all - Nalgene, Hydroflask, Zojirushi...all of them have failed or have significant design flaws. Not this one, though!Firstly, the stainless steel, double-walled construction of the bottle is seemingly indestructible. I've dropped this thing from frankly ludicrous heights, and still not even a dent. The coating on the exterior of the bottle isn't so much paint as it is some sort of slightly textured, ceramic-like coating. It really improves grip on the bottle, and resists scratching really well.I don't really put hot liquids in the bottle, but it will keep ice solid for at least two days before it melts. The cap is extremely well-designed as well. The threads are unique in that they aren't standard raised threads; they're a pattern of raised dots that engage with the cap. This serves two purposes that I can see. Firstly, they're much easier to clean than standard threads and don't build up grime as easily. Secondly, if you're drinking from the bottle uncapped, the dots don't get in the way while you're sipping, and since they're interior threads, your bottom lip isn't in contact with the threads, allowing a much better seal on the bottle for fewer spills.The Chug Cap is a must-have for any wide mouth bottle. If you've ever drunk from a wide mouth bottle without a reducer cap, you'll know how easy it is to spill the water around the sides of the opening due to the width. The Chug Cap removes that issue, by adding a firm rubber reducer cap to drink from. You can still take the full cap off for filling with ice, then replace the cap and drink from the smaller opening. The stainless steel loop on the cap is perfect for carrying the bottle with a few finders, or attaching a carabiner to clip onto a pack or belt.I will absolutely be buying another one of these, in the larger 64oz size, which highlights a final point of these bottles: the caps on several different double-walled versions of this bottle are all interchangeable!

Just got the Kleen Kanteen, so I can't speak to durability, but the bottle is built really well. I bought this because it can be disassembled completely for cleaning including the cap gasket. My old bottle required that you somehow dig the gasket out of a 1/2" deep groove, but this bottle uses a silicon O ring that can be removed by hand. Even the spout is removable although it requires some hand strength. The bottle has a larger opening than my Hydroflask, so it's easier to get ice into it. It even fits in the cupholder in my truck. I really like that the cap docks on the carry handle so it doesn't poke you in the eye. Also, that carry handle is better than carrying the bottle by the cap strap.It is competitively priced. Great bottle - the sticker on the bottom even comes off without leaving a gummy residue!! Woo hoo!Follow-up: with ice and water, the metal handle loop gets cold, and the rim where the lid screws in gets cold also. This indicates a place where the insulation is not so great, but for me, that is an acceptable compromise given that the cap can be thoroughly cleaned. My use is 90% indoors, and 10% outdoors in Tucson heat and the bottle keeps my water cold during outdoor activities.Follow-up #2 August 2022. Now over a year old, and used constantly, the TKWide bottle is in perfect condition, and it continues to work well. This container does fit in the cup holder in my Tundra truck, but it does not fit in my Corolla hybrid. I picked up a set of car seat headrest hooks and the bottle hangs behind the passenger seat when in the smaller car. The hooks are also great for hanging bags such as take out.

I've had this thing for a little bit now and I like it. Prior to this I tried a hydro jug which I do not recommend especially if you tend to drop stuff. This thing can take a good amount of abuse and keeps my water nice and cold all day long. Does not leak, easy to clean, easy to open, and capacity is great.

I LOVE this color yellow, sort of a goldenrod I guess. Not quite mustard but almost? And of course it keeps my water cool all day as I drive around in my hot car in the sweltering New Orleans heat. The size is perfect for me and I have not had any issues with leaks.

Besides the small chips that were present when it arrived this bottle is perfect - so far it does exactly what it’s supposed to do! The color is awesome, too. I gave this to my husband to replace his super old Klean Kanteen and he looooves this new one even more than the old one. We’re happy! Just fyi we’re throwing out the old bottle because after like 8 years it smells moldy and no matter how much we wash it or what we use it just stays mildly smelling. Hopefully we’ll get at least 8 years out of this new one!

Best water jug design if come across. Simple and no hard to reach places that need to be cleaned. Engineering excellence on display with form, function, and maintenance all considered and handled in equal measure.
