False advertising
I bought the Grey version for my 1995 YJ. It arrived quickly and looks really good. Exactly what I was looking for. However, upon closer inspection, I found out that it has a flat bottom. Amazon said that it was a direct fit for my Jeep, and now I have to build a bracket for it to sit on, because the floor is not flat where the console sits. I wish they would have noted that it had a flat bottom, it is NOT a direct fit.

Bad purchase
Unfortunately dimensions were much bigger than what was mentioned in the description, so it didn't fit in my vehicle. Also, on opening the package, i realized that the content was really old. Like this was manufactured years ago and stored in some warehouse and then taken out for delivery. The package smelled old and everything was super dusty. On opening the package, i thought I needed to assemble the lock, but then I realized that the lock was simply broken.Really a bad purchase. The only good news in this whole thing is that they accepted right away the refund.

Very nice, exceeded expectations!
Just received this today and on first impression am very happy with it. The quality is better than I expected, and it fits very well in my car (a Ford Crown Victoria). I’ll start off by saying I value durability, simplicity, and usefulness over fancy design and high-end materials. This console is exactly what I like - function first, with decent, simple aesthetics on top.MATERIAL AND BUILD QUALITY:The upholstery is described as a “denim-like material”, so I expected it to be rough, but it isn’t. It’s soft and smooth, with foam cushioning underneath. The armrest section has much thicker cushioning, and is very comfortable. The structure itself seems to be made from lightweight plywood or composite board. The whole unit is very lightweight for it’s size. It is sturdy and holds its shape well, except for some minor flexing on the sides of the main compartment, which shouldn’t be an issue during normal use. The inside of the main compartment is lined with a black, velvet-like material.I ordered the grey console, because in the pictures it looked like more of a tan color. Upon receiving it I realized it was actually a light grey which doesn’t match my car’s interior at all. I will be exchanging it for a black one.SECURITY:The lock mechanism is made from metal, securely fastened to the inside of the console. I wouldn’t expect it to keep out a determined burglar, but it may deter a smash-and-grab robber in a hurry. Having a lock at all is a good visual deterrent. There are two “hidden compartments” under the cupholders - a large one in the front, and one in the lid just big enough to hold some cash or other small, thin items.PRACTICALITY:This console doesn’t put form over function, which I appreciate. The armrest sits at just the right height. The rectangular footprint and boxy design make the most efficient use of space and maximize interior storage. The cupholders are well-placed for front and rear passengers. The coin holder isn’t really necessary in my opinion, but seems perfectly usable. This brings me to my only two complaints:The sunglass holder is made of very flimsy plastic and is a little stiff to open. It’s also pretty small, and my sunglasses won’t fit in it. Fortunately it’s easy to remove, and there is a large space behind it where you could install a radio, power inverter, switches, or something else more useful. My second complaint is that the rear cupholders are embedded in the lid, so you can’t open the lid without spilling any drinks that are back there. I rarely have passengers in the back seat, but I could see this being an issue for someone who does. All in all I’m very impressed with this console. It exceeded my expectations, and I think the price I paid ($69.99) was very fair.

4 1/2 Stars
4 1/2 Stars. I wrote an epic novel about this thing so if you want the quick and dirty explanation here it is: Despite a few minor quirks and being expensive, this console is one of, if not the best center console you can get for the Crown Victoria police interceptor with the police bucket seats, model years '98-'11. My vehicle is a 2011 Crown Victoria police interceptor. It's a great looking console and it fits perfectly in between the bucket seats. The fit is firm and won't move but still easy to slide back and forth or take off. No mounting is necessary even though they include a bracket in the packaging. My car came with a flat floor mounting bracket for police equipment in between the front seats so the console is stable and flush against the floor bracket. I'm sure if you didn't have a fancy bracket it would fit just fine. As for color choice my interior is tan with brown steering wheel and dash so the gray turned out the best match, with black not really matching as well and brown spice not matching at all. It was hard to tell the exact colors in the pictures online so I ordered all 3 colors and tried them myself. The black is actually more like a really dark grey and would look perfect for the black interior in the Crown Vic. If you have the gray interior in a Crown Vic the gray console is a match made in heaven with black also matching great. If they made a tan version of this console with black cupholders I would be ecstatic. I looked at the cheap walmart consoles and the overpriced walmart console with the vinyl arm rest before I bought this one and the armrest on this rampage is super comfortable because it's a large flat area. The walmart console armrest is much too small in my opinion. As far as value this console is pretty expensive for what it is but it's the one I wanted so I bit the bullet and bought it. I feel like if I dropped this thing from 10 feet in the air it would break into a million pieces because it has a plywood-like structure. There is also unfinished wood and fabric seams hidden under the easily-removable cupholders, which is also a very good hiding spot for "valuables". CD's fit a little tight in the removable CD holder cup thing that comes inside the console, and the removable cooler is a cool option. The lock and key is not heavy duty but does the job temporarily if someone tries to break into the console. The key is not always smooth when locking/unlocking it so you might have to wiggle and jiggle the key a little bit. Why not 5 stars? A few reasons: the fabric around a couple of the corners is not perfectly flat against the surface and creates a small wrinkle in the fabric. The rest of the console does not have this issue. Not a big deal but for almost a hundred dollars is it too much to ask to get it perfectly seamless? Another reason is the expensive price. This thing should sell for 60 dollars tops not $85 or whatever it is. But despite all those small issues this console is one of the best you can get for the Crown Vic. If you made it this far I commend you, thanks

Perfect for a Ford Ranger.
I put this in my 98 ranger splash. Be prepared to cut the seat with a Sawzall or a angle grinder, you'll need a #15 socket for the seat bolts. Once you rip the seats out and cut out the center seat you're home free. This thing fits perfect. Thanks guys!
