Excellent drug. I recovered from a cold with a fever in 2 days. And no harm to the stomach or liver!!

I love this product so much I have it on reorder. This tablet can taste bitter because it’s known as the king of bitters and it’s fairly easy to swallow. This herb is quality and helps keep my immune system healthy. It’s easy to put into a small vitamin case to carry around. I try to take this daily however when if I’m sick I take it twice a day especially in the winter/cold season. I had noticed a tiny sore throat coming one morning and a couple hours after taking it I noticed it was reversing my sore throat. I highly recommend this.

My head cold was so bad that my nose was running like a sieve--exactly as if I had a bloody nose--just pouring out of my face in an uncontrollable watery stream. Coughing. And I did not feel good. I took one andrographis tablet and about an hour later my nose just stopped running and the congestion in my sinuses eased. I couldn't believe it. It worked more effectively than any decongestant/antihistamine I have ever taken, and without any perceptible side effects (there are some potential side effects if you take it every day for a long period of time, but no feeling of drowsiness or excessive dryness or any other effect of antihistamines etc.) Really, I was blown away. By the next day my husband was coming down with what I had, so I gave him one pill and he had the same result. His cold was not as full-blown as mine had been, but it was clear he was coming down with it. And then all symptoms ceased in about an hour! For both of us, I continued to take a pill 3-4 times that day, and then a couple of times the next. I have decided that when I feel I may have a cold or some other virus coming on, especially one that affects the respiratory system, I am heading straight for the andrographis. For some reason, this works better for me than lomatium or any other herb anti-viral. I am genuinely impressed.

I originally started using this supplement for colds / general sickness relief over a year ago. There is a branded supplement for caring for colds that I bought on a recommendation from a friend. I switched to this brand supplement later because it was cheaper and easier for me to purchase. I kinda figured well it certainly can't make me feel any worse. I was already 3-4 days into a cold that didn't seem to be going away when I first took Andrographis. Generally I feel very cruddy when I have a cold and it makes working or doing anything else a miserable experience. After taking 4-6 tablets throughout the day I noticed I didn't feel as bad. I have routinely taken this supplement when I start to feel sick now. If I feel symptoms I'm getting sick (sneezing events, cold chills, sinuses draining, throat pain, neck is puffy or tender) I take a tablet. If nothing changes I'll take another tablet 3-4 hours later. If my symptoms go away I don't take anymore. If I do get sick I'll take 4-6 tablets every day until I start feeling better. Over time I have found my time spent being sick has reduced. My cold symptoms and level of feeling cruddy have lessened quite significantly. I will continue taking this supplement for colds / general sickness. Andrographis is the most bitter thing I have ever tasted so try taking it with some juice.

I did a fair amount of research on Andrographis. There are a number of peer review medical articles that support the use of this herb to improve the immune system. There is an article in the British Medical Journal showing that it has been shown to be helpful in limiting the duration of a cold. So,, why is this herb not super popular int he US? The only thing I can think of is that it is not sourced by a major pharmaceutical and is not patent controlled. Like a lot of treatment that work, if there is no major drug company producing it, there may not be any push to use the herb. I take two to three twice per day if I feel, sense or am having a cold. I truly believe I get better faster. Also, I take one pill twice per day if there are other in my circle who are fighting a cold. Overall, I would encourage anyone who has or is getting a cold to try this. However, one MAJOR caveat. The stuff tastes wicked awful. Prior to this, I always ordered the capsules. This product was available and the price was right. But, they are pills, not capsules. And wow, bitter taste that is almost immediate. No matter who quickly you down these pills, you can taste them. So, do yourself a favor and get the capsule. Five stars for the product. Minus one for the pill that is horrific tasting.
