Travelon Anti-Theft Heritage Tour Bag

I just got this, so I can't speak to the durability of the item, but I am very pleased with what it looks like out of the box: lots of zipper pockets, several zipper locks to prevent theft, good size for being out and about in Europe (I hope!), mesh side pockets for a water bottle and umbrella, rugged fabric, good value for the price, etc. I have owned a smaller Travelon bag for several years (bought for a trip to Europe for a teenager and then took it for myself) and it has been excellent for US travel and outings around town when I want something lighter than a full-sized leather purse. I'm extremely positive about the Travelon brand. Possible minuses: this bag is a bit heavy (but commensurate with fabric type, size and number of compartments) and you CAN'T MACHINE WASH OR DRY DUE TO RISK OF DEACTIVATING RFID PROTECTION. I normally like to machine wash fabric bags, but in this case, I'm willing to just spot clean, given that I really do need this bag for a trip.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: We are traveling to Italy and I wanted a purse that would carry my ipad, phone, water bottle, and an umbrella. I love cross body bags too as they allow me to "carry" my purse in different ways...with a handle, across my body, or over my shoulder. This bag is large enough for all my travel needs (guide book, hairbrush, sunglasses, etc.) and yet it isn't so big as to be a bother. Security features: The great locking compartments. RFID blocking pocket for passport, credit cards, etc. Travelability: Easy to carry. Easy to find specific items (passport, drivers license, hotel key, etc.). Great compartments for organization. Pockets: It holds my ipad! A water bottle and an umbrella in the side pockets. Size: Love the secure features, RFID pocket, slash proof sides and bottom, and super long adjustable slash resistant strap. Durability: Well made, sturdy, but still attractive.

I used this on a recent trip to Australia, and it served me well. Loved the anti-slash fabric and the locks on the zipper pulls. The front pocket was perfect for my Travelon passport wallet. Appreciated the side outside pockets, so that I could zip one or both open when I wanted to carry my water bottle and/or small umbrella. The center compartment and interior zipper pocket were ample to carry what I needed. The big drawback, for which I deducted one star, is that the bag is very heavy empty! I think the main reason is the strap, which is super-thick and too bulky. If they re-do that strap, I think then it would be perfect.

I’ve been trying different bags finding some pretty good, while others just not what I want. This bag is particularly engaging me with overwhelming perfection. There are a lot of comparable bags that for me lack a feature or two I need that this bag has. It is with greatest enthusiasm I can report this Travelon bag is exceedingly everything I like about a bag while having nothing I do not like about it. The blue denim fabric is nice & more personable. The point of the matter is the bag has ample pockets for my needs without crowding out the bag. I like that the shoulder strap can be removed. The handle is functional & a great feature. This bag can carry a lot while remaining compact. I also like it has no flaps. It’s all easy zipper access. The end water bottle pockets are a great design. They zip up nice & trim when not needed & fit a water bottle without strain. The interior of the pockets are well done to my liking. Getting it on sale was a score. As far as I’ve encountered with this bag, it’s a quality piece of equipment I can happily bring along wherever I go.

I've had this bag a couple of years now. It's been on multiple trips with me both domestic and international. I stopped using it as my daily because I wanted to make sure I extended its life as my designated travel purse. Ive recommended this to friends and fellow travelers. I always get compliments and many have stated that they wished they had one. The zippers are strong and the antitheft latches have never failed me. Ive washed this bag in a laundry bag, in cold water, gentle cycle and left to air dry. It washed really well and stayed in tact. I highly recommend this bag for anyone wanting to travel. My favorite part about the bag is the 2 water holder compartments that can be zipped up and tucked away when not in use. The designer thought of everything in this bag. I fit so much into this bag, I sometimes have to rethink and repack because it can weigh me down. Out of all the bags I've seen and researched this is the bag for me. Not only practicaland stylish, it's very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I have recently come back from a trip and saw a woman wearing her new purchase (same bag). I approached her to discuss how great the purse was. She didnt seem to be as excited about the bags functionalty as I was, which told me she hadnt worn it much. By the end of our 9 day tour, the same woman approached me and thanked me for giving her my appreciation of the bag. She fell in love with during the course of our trip. Her travel buddy and my travel buddy ordered one each! I want another but would like to see an expanded color selection. I'm sure the seller is working on this as prices of the bag have skyrocketed, so Im sure there is money in the pot now to expand on color variations. This is a great travel/city bag. It's just the right size for exploring, has a pouch for a small water bottle, and a handsome suede-like fabric. The security zippers give peace of mind in crowded European tourist sites, and the included mini light is great for seeing into it.

The little strap that sealed the deal for me, to buy this bag, turned out to be the first thing that seems to rip. the little strap is sewn at 2 ends. Well after continuously wearing this for about 3 weeks, the strap starts to fray on 1 end. At first I thought it's just a thread, then I noticed it's getting loose (as in no more weave). So disappointing. Everything else is good too. Just wish this bag could've been made better.

Was reluctant to order this as its so expensive for a canvas bag - at almost the price of a leather one - but so glad I did! Bought for our trip to pick-pocket-mecca Barcelona. Perfect for a holiday handbag, particularly due to two side pockets (that store flat if empty) for easily accessible bottle of water or brolly. Hunted for ages for a bag with two elasticated side pockets - very few to choose from. Lots of compartments. Big enough for packed lunch and thin waterproof, camera, guidebook etc as well as purse. Every zip has an (optional) security clip that prevents thieves pickpocketing without a lot of obvious fiddling. Strap strengthened to prevent thieves slashing. Even has a little key ring clasp inside with a mini torch so you can find things! Sits quite flat against body and can be carried on shoulder or cross body so really comfy and secure. Superb technical design, great quality, and looks lovely too. Suitable for male or female.

Poignée à main pratique. Petite lumière Led à l’intérieur avec pochette protectrice anti-vol. Poches de côtés assez large pour bouteille d’eau (2x), lorsqu’elles sont ouvertes. Le sac n’est pas léger, puisque tissu en toile solide doublée avec tissu soyeux rayé. Ce n’est pas un tissu extensible, donc à pleine capacité, ne s’expansionne pas! Donc il faut s’abstenir de le remplir pleine pleine capacité! Bon achat qualité/prix.

I loved this bag so much I bought my sister one. It has 2 zip sections on the side to put water bottles, many pockets and sections to put all your items - the front 2 sections have a security clasp making it very difficult for anyone to get into it without you knowing. The canvas is a sturdy fabric - very well made. I could fit my 10.2 inch ipad in the main section easily along with earphones, wallet, glasses, passports and anything else you could think of... it's got lots of room & lots of sections for organizing everything. It's a cross body strap as well and can carry a lot of weight. The strap is also made of a strongly woven fabric so overall you just feel very secure. I would highly recommend it!
