Helped quickly cure a persistent bedsore on my tailbone that was an aftermath of surgery
After emergency surgery, I developed a small bedsore. Because I am very thin, I could not get rid of it and it was quite painful, even long after I was no longer in bed for long periods. I had tried padded bandages on my tailbone, along with some Neosporin, but the sore did not heal until I used this pad along with it. Within a month, the sore that had been extremely painful for several months, was completely cured. I could sleep with this seat cushion under my hips and, because of its low profile, it was quite comfortable. I tried several different styles of cushions, both square and donut shaped and they were too high and uncomfortable while sleeping or sitting or riding in the car. I decided to give this cushion a try and was thrilled with the results. It is very light and comfortable. It doesn't deflate very fast, so if the top comes off of the refill tube, you are usually okay if you catch it early enough and snap it back closed. If it does deflate, it comes with its own little light pump, which makes it easy to keep it inflated. That being said, this is a low profile product and may not work as well for someone who is extremely heavy. For a medium sized person, though, it is highly effective and I recommend it most highly. I will also take it on car trips to keep from traumatizing that area again while being seated for longer periods in the same position and to for easing any harsh rubbing of the area while getting in and out of the car.

Works for Relieving Pressure in Bed
I ordered a second cushion soon after I started using the first. In case anything happens to one of them, I want a backup. I use one in bed and one in the car. I ordered this because I saw reviews from people like me who are stuck in bed most of the time due to illness. Lying in one position is uncomfortable and can cause pressure sores. The cushions do help with comfort and some degree of control over skin breakdown. I put pillow cases over my cushions so I have another layer over the plastic. I wish there were a way to make this design with a more comfortable material. Lying on plastic is not the most comfortable, because it gets hot. It’s definitely worth the heat for a reduced chance of skin breakdown, and increased comfort. I lost the air in my cushion one night because the valve opened and the air leaked out. I noticed the difference immediately when I woke up. I don’t know what caused the valve to open, but it’s only happened once. I think I could have accidentally pulled it open. As other reviewers have said, it takes very little inflation to do the job. Mine seems almost flat until I lie on it. I need something that isn’t thick, because that would be very painful for me. I looked a long time before I found this cushion and I’m happy I found it.

Very nice and comfortable!
This item was packaged well and came on time. Was everything as stated on site. I had no problem following the instructions on inflating the cushion. I have used it in my chair and it is very comfortable. But the real reason I got it was to have a cushion to sit on while soaking in the bathtub. It isn't advertised for this purpose but thought I would try it out. I have put it in the tub and sat on it and held up well on a hard surface and full body weight and was comfortable too and also put it behind my upper back/neck area to while in tub. Very comfortable. But haven't tried with water in tub yet to see how that works. I will come back and update once I do if anyone wants to know if it works this way too. If it does I might need a second one! {already have a small bath pillow but when it needs to be replaced this would be a good choice} It seems well made. I would recommend this item. 2/3/2018 Update: I am still using this every day. But mostly to sit on, place between my knees when laying on my side, behind my back and neck area when sitting up in bed, to prop under sore joints like elbows and wrists and even as a pillow for my neck and head! While its surface texture is comfortable, I do find I like the feel better when I slide it into one of my own pillow cases. Just wanted to note that it has held up VERY well to daily use and I have only had to add air to it twice since buying it. It is just the right thickness for me to use just about where and the waffling is great to comfortably cradle my sore elbows and wrists when I just need a soft place for them to rest and not be touched. Still haven't tried it in the tub yet! Lol, too busy using it everywhere else!

Just no.
Purchased 3 times (slow learner I guess) and each time the cushion failed to hold air within a few months. Save your money.

It can help if you use it correctly
My doc suggested this type of pillow for my chair, rather than other tailbone or chair pillows. I had sacral region back pain and sciatica that were hurting a lot and causing worry about developing ulcers. This pillow does work, though it's not at all soft, and you have to position yourself carefully to avoid sitting on the air plug. It's important to inflate it just enough to give you enough support; too little and it won't work, too much and it might make the pain worse. A bit tricky! It's also important to cushion yourself so you don't feel the plastic-y material edges sticking up. But the good news is that within about 2 weeks the pain was 80% gone, and no more worries about ulcers from sitting on my recliner. So I do recommend it, but I'd say to get your doc's recommendation first.

I purchased this waffle cushion and really like it. So far so good. I got it because Someone I'm following on Utube, had a surgery on her bottom end and said this cushion was so helpful. Although she suggested to only blow it halfway. And that is what I've done, and yes, it does help. I recommend this cushion.

Me gustó el tamaño, es lo que esperaba, creo de acuerdo a las necesidades del usuario habrá que inflarlo, no es necesario darle tanta presión, funciona bien sencillo y práctico.

Good product when inflated but within 4 weeks started leaking and by 6 weeks deflated in about 2 hours. Valve appears to be the weakness and without improvement this is a flawed product. Requested return but only answer I got was NA.
