These are a brilliant idea and something that definitely was not around the last time I had a shredder. We recently bought the bonsai shredder and started to notice that after awhile it got very dusty and wasn’t cutting as it should. Reading the manual it recommends that should be oiled every 3 to 5 shreds and considering I was 3 full shredders bins in, it was probably a little on the thirsty side. The manual recommended these ones so I purchased them and they seemed good value as I’m not going to be using them that often so took a punt. When they arrived, they were not what I expected; they are an A5 piece of paper that’s slightly thicker than standard paper and it appears to be glued to another piece and the oil is kept inside like an envelope. You don’t open the pouch, you just run it through your shredder and then hit it into reverse and then into forward again; going backwards and forwards every two seconds until the sheet has worked all the way through. I was dubious but gave it a go and I was surprised at just how much of a difference it made to the shredders performance. It didn’t jam as much, there wasn’t as much dust and it was cross shredding as it should do instead of creating ribbons. I’ve now put these in the box with the shredder and will use these every time I fill up a shredder. I don’t use it very often in general, but I had a lot of paperwork to get rid of so it was a mammoth shredding project but they are great. So much less mess than trying to use a bottle of oil or trying to get in around the dangerous blades; just simply shred and then go backwards and forwards until the sheet has worked its way through.

Works well and protects the shredder, but beware of small excess oil.

The shredder lubricating sheets are really good, I thought I’d be buying a new shredder but these sheets have worked wonders my shredder is now working great, runs longer and no jamming

The forward and reverse action did not really work. I could only manage to run it through it but not reverse it. Seems to me to small a small a sheet to do this. At least it might as messy a using oil.
