Great little dickie, and elegant under a jacket for hot-weather shows! Shown here over color - you can see the front is a sheer-ish fabric. I wore a cami under it, and it stayed in place, was comfortable and, most importantly, I stayed cool.It's well made and washed up great with a bunch of other whites. (I always put clear nail polish over any threads on buttons to keep them on longer and did that here)Ordering again!

Because I read the other reviews before purchasing (thanks, everyone!), I'm giving this item 5 stars. The collar is SO BEAUTIFUL. I'm fairly busty, so, like some other reviewers, I had to cut the elastic (it hit me across the bust and squished my boobs). If I was decide to use the item more long term (I bought it for Halloween), I will extend the elastic to fit, which I may do, just because the lace is so lovely. Because the neckline on my dress was high, I did have to detach the stitching on the lace, but that was an easy task that took about 10 minutes with a stitch-pull tool. The collar fit nicely. Would recommend for adding a Victorian feel to a layered outfit.

Yes, the neck is tight. But I was able to get it over my head. The button in the back of the neck is elastic, so I can button it alone if I want, but I got some extra neck room by using a safety pin as an extension. There is no way the elastic on the sides would ever stretch to fit me, so I just cut the elastic and safety pinned the fabric to my bra. This garment did EXACTLY what I wanted it to do. I am extremely pleased with my purchase!

I could not use this item and had to return it. When the description stated "detachable" I of course assumed that the ascot/jabot could be lifted away from the under part of the fake collar. Wrong. It is sewn down in three places! If I could have worn it, I would have removed the awkward button and sewn on a easy snap. I have a size 40 bust and the fit is snug, but doable. The bottom of it attaches right below the bust line. The fabric is very sheer and the lace is pretty.

Looks good feels good, fits perfectly and I do NOT have a "scrawny neck." LOL! Will buy again. I would like a black one in this same fabric because it is soft and comfortable to wear all day.
