After replacing the non-working engine compartment fan on my sailboat after about five years of duty, I wanted a quieter fan, something that didn’t whine and whir in annoyance at having to move air. What a pleasant surprise once I installed this fan and operated it for the first time. A pleasant sound could be barely heard, no whine, no whistle, no buzz. Just a quiet low pitched murmur. I ran to the fan vents to see if air was indeed being expelled, half expecting to find a weak breeze, but the air flow was just a strong. Maybe I lucked out on this, but it is so quiet and unobtrusive on deck near the air vents that I no longer need to jam a duct elbow to deflect the sound

My old fan ran, but the shaft was dragging and I suspect it was both drawing additional current and approaching end of life. New one runs smoothly and quietly

Works great, really quite compared to the engine. 10/10 will buy again if something happens to the old one.

A bit noisy, that makes it perfect to toilet/shower room in the rv, so we don’t leave it working accidentally when going out. The wet conditions and its powerful blow, helps a lot. Not sure about the preferred flow 🤔

Replaced less expensive blower that bearings failed on after three years. The old blower did not have a seal around the connections and the back of the bearing - the result I believe was water getting into the bearing causing them to corrode. This new blower is sealed around both. Install was straightforward (albeit cramped working space, which is NOT the fault of the blower). It is very quiet, and moves a LOT of air (its primary purpose).

Purchased to replace failing noisy blower of same model. Works as expected and quiet.

My original blower started making a god awful noise like the bearings on the fan were going out. Replaced it with this, nice and quite and feels like it moves more air. The placement in my engine compartment was another story, but not the blowers fault. I felt like gumby trying to get to the mounting location for replacement.

I ordered two of these 4" fans to move air into the cab of my '63 VW van when the vehicle was stationary or not moving fast enough to create adequate air flow. These fans are not silent but they are quieter than the VW original ambulance fans that I was duplicating. They make the equivalent air force as driving about 50 kmh. I was not using hoses so I trimmed the length of the fan housings to fit the air box. The fans are marine rated so a slight amount of moisture entering the vent should not be an issue...12 volt computer fans would not be able to cope with any moisture. These fans work well although I am not using them as intended by the manufacturer.

Looks virtually identical to the original in our bow rider. Same screw spacing so no new holes required. If it lasts the 20 or so years that the original did we'll be happy campers.
