This is the exact same attachment I got when renting a big green machine. I bought my own big green machine a couple years ago and it did not come with the upholstery attachments so I ordered this on Amazon. I assume that if you are reading this review, you already chose a big green machine and not another carpet cleaner. This only fits a handful of Bissell carpet cleaners and nothing else. I am also unaware of any aftermarket brands you could use instead of this attachment. There are other brushes for the end from bissell though like the stair tool, but I think they all use this same hose. If you don't have the Big Green, I recommend getting it over any other carpet cleaner. I have gone through plenty of carpet cleaners and this combination works the best for everything. I have owned a little green machine, a hoover steamvac, a bissell power steamer, and rented the Rug Doctor many times. You can find refurbished commercial models with the timer for almost as cheap as a residential grade carpet cleaner with a little searching. I paid 150 for mine with 20 hrs. on it though 200 is probably more to be expected. I use this attachment to clean two vehicles (the 3rd is leather and think that probably wouldn't be wise?) and recently to clean a mattress when the mattress protector failed to keep my child's bed dry. I have to say this is absolutely hands down the best in both ease of use and in results. The suction almost dries the upholstery completely and so it also does a great job of pulling the stains out. I still put white towels and weight on items at the end to help pull the stains and moisture out. The big green holds a ton of product so you can use this thing for what seems like forever without running out of detergent. The brush bristles are strong and really make it easy on automotive carpet to get the deep dirt out. I also love that the hose is 10' long. Nothing is more frustrating than not being able to reach. If I had to give a product second place, it would be the rug doctor. The upholstery tool works just as good, but the rug doctor itself is not as good as the big green machine.
