It worked in my sunbeam 340 bbq
The first item received did not have the accessory package - feet, screws, clips- . Tried working with the mfr and did not have much luck- probably my fault- lack of computer expertise on my part. Amazon immediately took care of business and sent me a replacement item. The burner holes did not match up when adjusted to my BBQ. I used the parts from both units to get a perfect match. Something wrong with the mfr process. The screws sent did not want to start. Had to drill the mounting holes a small amount and then went together. The burner is made of strong/thick stainless steel. After installing, I lite the burners and they worked better than the original. I did not need the heat diffuser's. I see that Amazon does had a burner only, after I had already ordered.

Inexpensive and adaptable.
Great price on a quick fix. I have an aluminum cast grill that I think is vastly superior to the high design stamped sheet metal. It seems that everyone in the grill industry is now a designer instead of an engineer. Modern junk, albeit attractive, only lasts only a few years before having to be replaced both inside and out. It is almost impossible to find an aluminum cast grill anymore and parts are no longer marketed with my grill in mind. I have always tried to guess which is the closest substitute. I like this This is an adjustable product which is better than having the headache of trying to figure out the exact size of the original which had disintegrated over the years. Also, I like to garage tinker with things. I stretched it out larger than my original burner and I believe that my cooking surfaces is now better on my grill.

Fit with a little modification
This was a pretty simple fix for the aging burner in this very old small Charbroil grill. When I called Charbroil for a recommended burner replacement, the rep could not find the grill (#GG 651) in his data base. He recommended this universal . The biggest issue was how small the bed was on this two burner grill. I had to telescope the burners all the way down which closed the end burner holes. The easy fix was to drill additional holes in the ends (this may not be necessary). The only reason I did not give this five stars is the small screws holding the telescoping burners in place were not self tapping or sheet metal. After some frustrating moments trying to fit these, I finally abandoned them and found some self tapping screws that worked perfectly. The flexible feed hoses fit perfectly. I did not use the included tent as I have a grate holding lava rocks over the burner. The construction looks pretty robust.Someone with a few handyman skills should be able to make this work and it was a fun project.

New life to an old grill
I have an old Kenmore grill that has seen better days. This kit was super easy to install.Couple of tips:When I adjusted the heat tent to the right lenght I took a hammer to the slides and staked it in place. This way it won't fall when I move the grill. On this grill I reused the original heat tent holding bracket. It looked like it would work without it but why not use it.Reading some of the negative reviews it's evident some people don't know their way around a tool box. If you are a handy person you will have no problem installing this kit.

Great replacement, Easy to assemble!
Wow so glad Char-Broil makes this burner! Fit my grill perfect. Needed a 21" burner and all others are like 17" but can be used for those needed 21", yeah they are not ideal. I easily put it together, the holes all lined up and I screwed it all together. Had to bend the feet a little to fit but I'm cooking with gas now! I have an even burning/heat surface now. I hope this one last a few years, time will tell. Don't forget to clean your grill up, that grease can corrode metal easy. Not sure why this combo is way cheaper than the 2 separate but well worth the money.

It's a decent universal burner
I have an old-style Char-Broil Deluxe 7000 Natural Gas grill that I rescued 20 years ago from a scrapper. It has been longer than that, that Charbroil stopped producing parts for this grill so I have had to use universal-fit parts such as the cooking grate and the burner. This is the 3rd burner that I have had in it. The original burner fell apart and I bought a universal-fit burner for it that you can see in one of the pictures. What I have found over the years was that the weak point in this kind of grill design is where the gas tubes attach to the burner itself. The brackets that attach to the flexible aluminum tubes always rust out long before the burner does. You can see my attempt to repair that (which did not work) in the second picture. I was going to just buy the replacement tubes but I figured why not replace the entire burner itself since it was only $10 more. This was the initial test fitting and test firing. I discovered I had not extended the burner sides wide enough so I will do that and reseat it. The flexible aluminum tubes extend long enough to reach the gas orifices. Note that in the original CharBroil grill the orifice tubes do not have a slot so the included clips are useless. Instead after reseating the burner I will twist some wire around the end of the burner tube and hook the original clips to it. Note that the tube ends that go over the gas orifices are pot metal castings. Sometimes a metal casting does not have full filling of the casting mold and the casting will have a defect or flaw which will cause it to crack or break so be sure to check yours as soon as you get it.I do not care for the included heat shield that extends but it will work when needed. My heat shield is a universal heat shield that I cut down to the correct length but like any heat shield the hot flame temperature causes it to corrode. I actually prefer Lava Rock in grills as it spreads the heat more evenly but people have been against lava rock in grills for a long time now because it flares up the grease more. However heat shields also flare up grease. Less heat and more time grilling will prevent that but people are impatient these days.It is true that the self-tapping machine thread screws supplied will not screw into the burner but there is an easy fix for that which does not involve drilling. You take one of the coarse thread screws and drive it in first for a couple of turns then back it out. Then the smaller screw will thread in (with enough force) Also you really don't need to use those screws because after 6 months of use the burner tubes will very likely corrode together and there's not really any sort of lateral force that would widen or shorten the burner.I have been grilling on natural gas grills for close to 40 years. If you buy an outdoor grill you must understand that the burners ALWAYS rust out. Unless you buy repair parts and repair the grill you will be spending a very large amount of money every few years buying new grills. There are some wonderful grills that I see people putting on the side of the road every year that just need new burners but they are almost always propane. Years ago it was common knowledge that all you had to do to convert from propane to natural gas was drill the gas orifice out. Kenmore for example with their grill even supplied alternate orifices. But today the nannies in government put a stop to that by requiring gas certifications and only the large grill companies can afford to do those, so there's only a limited selection of natural gas grills on the market. My starter grill was a massive 50 year old Kenmore H-burner single control knob with lava rock and a cast iron burner and feed pipe that my father bought new when I was a few years old. That burner lasted decades but the top rusted out. We got the rust hole brazed up and it lasted another decade then rust got it. It's been running universal burners ever since. In fact I completely rebuilt it and repainted it a few years ago and replaced all the gas piping and it's running like a tank at our beach vacation house. The cast aluminum grills are the way to go. Stainless steel grills will rust. People do not believe it but stainless steel rusts. Aluminum grills will last decades on the interior with no maintenance at all except burner replacement, and if the tops are repainted every year with grill paint they will also last decades out in a coastal environment. But a stainless steel grill will rust out in 2-3 years at the coast and 10-15 years in the interior. If you maintain your grill and replace the burner when it needs it, you will easily save quite enough money to pay for a plumber to run a gas line and natural gas grill is absolutely the way to do it. We grill year round. And the meat skewers in the picture tasted as good as they look.I rated this universal 3 stars because while the burner steel was definitely much thicker than my previous universal fit burner, the connection brackets for the gas pipes to the burner are just as flimsy and likely to corrode as the last one. And that sliding heat shield is ridiculous. Charbroil should supply a full length heat shield with paper templates people can use to cut it down to the standard sizes. A garden variety hacksaw can easily cut a stainless steel heat shield if it's clamped to a 2x4. The burner hold screws should be coarse thread self tapping not machine fine thread. They also need to acknowledge that not all grills have clip slots for holding the burner tubes on to the orifices since they manufactured a grill like that. I do give them a plus for decent mounting brackets however Charbroil should still be selling original equipment burners for all of their grills not just the brand new ones. Lastly there is no way to adjust the air intake into the tubes to get the best flame fuel/air mixture. Even though the air intake is "close enough" that you do get a decent flame it is a bit choked down not enough air.Ultimately though buyers need to understand that fitting a universal fit burner like this one into an older grill is absolutely not plug-and-play and it is going to require some adjustments.
