Q: Will these fit between a 10" floor joist? Basically need to know the maximum diameter between the dog ears. Thanks!

The cut out diameter is 8.3". If these joists are 10" on center you only have 8 1/2" spacing inside to inside. So the dog ears won't have any thing to grab.
