Q: Only thing about these mixers is there's no metering. could be great sounding, but what happens when the levels are too low in post production?

This is not a recording mixer, it is more for live non-recording performances. There are no individual outputs and the USB connector is only for powering the device. If you're going live and need some extra channels it is very useful

Q: Am I able to use this to switch microphones between 2 PCs?

Yes, but are more cheaper solutions.

Q: Do i need to plug this into a mixer to get the audio into a daw?

This is not an audio interface, so you would need to plug the output from this into your audio interface in order to record the output into a DAW. Behringer has some affordable 2 channel interfaces if you do not already have one.

Q: How to i get this to my laptop do i need a mixer to get it on my laptop?

It's output is only a 1/4 jack for left and a 1/4 jack for right. You will need adapters. probably a 1/4 male y to a 1/8 male stereo.
