Average range for Bluetooth 5.0 is about 800 feet. Though data from the band is uploaded to your phone once you're in range and with the proper app.

How do you charge the device? Pics?

It uses a usb charging cable that plugs into any standard USB port and attaches magnetically to the back of the device.

Will this fit an 11 year old?

I believe you could purchase a band that is more compatible with your child's wrist size. There are several on the market from what I saw and my 7 year old wants one now. So got 2 for the kiddos!
