I put this in my roast with potatoes onions carrots. It is delicious.

I used the no longer available lipton mix for decades, Knorr is very good also.

I'm a foodie. What is one to do for a meal, NOW? I prepared this product per package directions for soup. Not impressed: too salty, not enough flavor or body. OK, I'll use the rest on beef roasts. Then I tried it MY way: Cube 1 heel of good sourdough bread. Slice 1/2 medium sweet onion. Brown both in small saucepan with 50/50 butter/olive oil. Using a disposeable, but re-used 1 qt. Chinese take-out soup container, Fill halfway with hot tap water. Bring to boil (~2 min.). Add mix, 1 packet Herb-Ox no-salt chicken bouillon to water in container. Stir, top off with cold tap water. Add croutons/onions. Top with shredded mozzarella. Microwave 1 minute. Enjoy. yield: 1 hearty, meal-sized serving This is as good French onion soup as I have had anywhere, at any price.

Good product, I added more fresh onions.
