20A MPPT Solar Charge Controller 12/24VDC Automatically Identifying System Voltage with Backlight LCD Display Fit for Lead-Acid and Lithium Batteries

This is my first MPPT and after learning about PWM and exhausting it's features. This unit just works for me. I don't want to write a long review but I could about how well it lives up to it's features and brand. If you want a very good quality MPPT controller that isn't going to break the bank and that will expand with you as your grow out your system and not cost you an arm and leg and probably still all work together 5-10 years down the road? Yup, this is it. This thing works, easy to setup, the terminals for 10 gauge pv wire all fit and hold the cable nicely. The interface is nice and bright and somewhat intuitive but does take some getting use to. Probably one of my favorite features about MPPT or this controller is how it can sustain battery voltage during peak solar time and also provide as much current through your AC inverter at the same time. So awesome!

Great little controller. Very simple to install and use. Settings are easy to understand. No extra features, just a solid and simple unit. Really good value.

Dependable quality - out of the box you know you're dealing with the real thing. This is my second Epever controller, and the first one replaced another reputable brand that self-melted on me for no apparent reason. I'm sure there are other good charge controllers out there, but this brand is always dependable and usually the best price too. Good luck with the instructions though - they're somewhat opaque. I wish, oh how I wish, that these companies would hire a translator to work out an instruction manual that actually made sense.

The screen is hard to read when lit up so I use a flashlight instead. I bought two since I have solar panels in two different locations and if combined they would exceed the PV 100 volts for one controller. The product does work as advertised and the price was well below other brands which I won't mention. The holes will fit 8 gauge wire and perhaps larger.

Good item

The LCD screen is hard to read with the light on if you're not exactly at eye level or below eye level. For some reason, if you're looking down on it, you can't read anything. With the light off, you can see the numbers (barely). Also, the voltage readout of the battery voltage is about 0.2V off from what my inverter shows and what my multimeter shows right at the battery. I'm new to solar so I don't know if this is an important issue. Other than that, the unit works fine.

I really like this 10A MPPT Solar panel controller. I only control one panel to keep a battery charged to keep a fan running at night. I like the pre-programmed settings for the different battery type and the "User" programmable option. The only thing I struggled with was the programming through the display. I also had difficulty with the display as it rotated the data. I resolved the programming issue by purchasing the optional USB to RS485 cable. The software, " Solar Guardian PC " is free. Over all, I am content with this controller. 12/2025 I started having issues with the Solar Guardian software communicating with my Epever controller. After several emails with Epever support, we determined the controller’s communication port had failed. They promptly shipped a warranty replacement controller. It was refreshing to work with a company that acknowledged the problem and acted quickly to make it right when things didn’t go as expected. 5 Stars for Tech Support and Customer Service.

I purchased this charge controller for my camping trailer. I use it to camp for most of the summer and it work very well. It's met all my expectation, anmore far. Such a small unit, it works very well keep up to all of my demand while I was camping.

I have used the soler charger controller on all of our soler cattle waters and the work great . The only controller to buy.

You can series and parallel solar panels but do not exceed the maximum PV rating of 92 volts DC.

Very difficult to set up. The instructions were missing important information. The control settings keep resetting to default. Every time I start up the laptop, I have to reinstall the usb driver.
