I installed these on a convertible Mustang trunk lid. I realize that my old set were worn out but these are very strong. There is no way that the trunk will ever close on your hand if you have replaced both at the same time. It is very easy to replace without any tools, simply twist the ball end and the strut will roll off the connector.

I have a 2014 Mustang and these are the same exact size as OEM. They are very strong out of the box, to the point that it's got a little too much spring once the trunk pops open. Maybe they were like that when the car was new and I've just forgotten because it's been so long since I've had good struts. Anyway, they work fine.

Thought they would make my trunk pop open all the way on its own when I hit the button. It pops up maybe an inch. Not what I expected.

Work perfectly. Quite easy to install. Trunk lid does not bonk me on the head anymore :-) Use a very narrow screwdriver, stick it in behind the stock clip and pry it entirely off, each end. You can discard them. Do BOTH ends before removing the strut. Position the new strut same way as original. and simply push to snap them in place and you're done.
