It's Working Great
I got this collar for a second dog. I only have to recharge about every three weeks on this and the original collar. I have had no issues with the battery because I am not constantly overcharging it. My original collar is still going strong. I have been using it over a year. The dogs stay within the boundary without any problem. They are both Vizsla's, and love to chase birds and anything else that moves. They have never run through the fence. They even stay in the boundary when I accidentally let them out without the collar. I have had no issues with water, and the dogs are often out in the rain. I will update if anything changes, but so far I'm happy with the system.

Our second collar
We purchased an IUC-4100 a couple years ago when our pit bull grew large enough to leap over the (4 foot tall) fence (he likes to go make new friends... with everybody). We quickly trained him to the system, and it has worked great for us. At our new house, our other dog (who could never leap a fence and thus had never needed a collar) discovered a way out of our new fenced yard where our fence and the neighbors fence could not quite meet due to a concrete retaining wall. So we purchased this collar for him. Since the collars work by listening for a radio signal transmitted by the fence, there was zero installation necessary--just charge it and go. Other reviews mention some durability issues--with our first collar, we have had no such problems. Our pit bull even got it off once and used it briefly as a chew toy; other than some teethmarks in the plastic, it still works great. I have installed the system at 3 houses now and it has worked great every time.

Worst dog fence system ever - HATE IT
I have had four different dogs and three systems in the past 20 years and this is the worst system ever! We 'upgraded' our old system with the Contain and Train system and had nothing but problems. I currently have two English Setters, and these collars are horrible. They do not stay buckled and fall off the dogs when they play. We had to start putting a zip-tie on the collar so that it would stay on the dogs. They do not charge reliably and only work for about 6-9 months before they won't take a charge. The system is also very prone to interference from other dog fence systems. We had a lot of issues with our neighbors fence 'cancelling' out our signal on the side of our property adjacent to their property with a different system. (The fence was professionally installed according to the specs.) When we could keep the collars on the dogs, they would crap out and I would have to return them for a new collar about every 9 months. After a two years of this nonsense , we installed the Invisible Fence system and it works brilliantly. The collars are small and made with a very sturdy nylon strap. If you love your dog, do not get an Innotek system.

Great, tough, easy to use and works; easy to fix the lost collar problem
We've got two of these for our two setters and they work perfectly. Nicely adjustable and tough for the roughhousing that goes on. The battery lasts a very long time and the unit charges easily. I have not used the self-check modes or other features of the collar as my dogs now respect the line with and without the collar. The beeping, even to my (relatively now...sigh) young ears is faint and if there is a lot of ambient noise (traffic, high wind, or other) it may be difficult to hear the beeping during training. The major complaint that I have with these is that the strap comes undone VERY easily, we lost one, but I clued into two things: 1) you must have the extra strap (past the buckle) tucked into the loop so there's no loose strap flapping around or the buckle will come undone and you will lose your collar. OR 2) much easier is to tape the clasp of the buckle closed with electrical tape. This is a very simple and not bad looking and permanent fix. In our case it is helpful too because we can have one color for each dog making sorting out who gets which collar easier. It would be wise for Innotek to fix this problem on their side, but it is definitely not a deal breaker.

Replacement for me
I bought the invisible fence to stop my dog from climbing on my short 3.5' fence. She would try to climb over to get into other yards to get to the other dogs. The invisible fence worked great for that. The collar had a long battery life as I would only charge it when the battery was completely dead, that was around 3 and a half years ago when I bought it. Then the collar strap started to tear near where I would have to bend it to slip it into the latch. I finally broke down and called Innotek and got a replacement strap, that was around $50 with the shipping I think. The new strap was just like the one on this collar, different from the original, this one has a clasp that you can release without messing with the strap. A few weeks after I replaced the strap I came home from work and the dog had no collar on. The way the new strap is designed it comes apart easily if you don't have it adjusted tight on the neck, tighter than I really wanted on the dog, she just needs the stimulus of the noise at this point to stay off the fence. I bought this to replace the missing collar, I think it is in the overgrown ivy she like to walk around in, but I can't find it. So a few times after I got this one I noticed the collar was almost coming off the dog. I figured out that you have to cinch the adjustable side of the collar so it can no longer be adjusted. I had some stainless wire (essentially bailing wire) and put the wire through the holes and wrapped around the locking tang. Since I have done that the collar has not come undone or come loose.
