These perform exactly as expected. My solutions are properly stirred, the retrieval magnet is strong enough to do the job, and the stirrers are easily cleaned, even of red dye.

The media could not be loaded. Came as advertised. Nice little set of various stir magnets. Magnets are powerful as well. Would buy this product again if needed.

I used it for stirring vitamins in fruit juice, as some pills hurt my stomach. I takes a while, and sometimes, the pills stop the rotor entirely. The magnets could be stronger.

Great selection & great price

For starters, I don't use these in a lab, I use them on a magnetic stirrer to make cold brew coffee. That said, as far as functional, all but the "gear" and "cross" bars function, however only two of the bars function without a loud chatter; the oval and the olive. The other three cylindrical bars have a terribly loud chatter.The gear and cross bars are very off balance and throw themselves away from the magnet point on my stirrer to where they become completely non functional.

This is a great value product, fairly priced for a great assortment.

I thought I needed some mag stir bars in a pinch, so I got a set. After use, I really liked the star shaped stirrer and the pick up tool.I used the stir bars in heated water bath and heated KOH bath, in an exhausted fume hood. Temperature of the liquids ranged RT up to 90C. The stirring action (600 - 800RPM) kept the liquid temperature uniform. PTFE held up well in the heated chemical. The pick up tool made it very easy to change bath and cleaning up.

They're stir bars. They spin nicely. If you know what you're buying, then you appreciate having a few different sizes available quickly. The large bar will stir a 1 gallon milk jug fairly well.
