Works for the cat. Slows his eating down.

I love it! And so does my kitten! She always eats really fast so I had to find ways to slow her down without getting her annoyed or irritated because I physically stop her. I was sceptical at first but it turns out these licky matts are really a pretty decent product! It is softer than another one we have, which is for dry and wet food together. At first I thought this mat will be only suitable for wet food, but I found it good also for her dry kibbles as they are very small size. It is made of silicone or soft rubber (I am not sure, but it is very soft) so it is comforting for the cat to chew or lick it when trying to get the food in her mouth. It is very, very easy to clean even with only water! The most important thing is that it really slows down my cat's feeding so it does really has the desired effect. I love this product and can definitely recommend it!

Got it in purple, looks super cute. Cat loves it, i put his new Feliway happy snack yoghurt on it at bedtime so that + licking makes cats calmer (we have behavioural spray issues!). Anyway day 3 and no spraying… yay! Knocked a star off as it’s quite annoying to clean, water sprays everywhere so you have to kind of bend it in the nooks and crannies. Best way is to submerge it in sink and then run hot tap over the bits.

Kitty loves it, takes her 15 minutes to finish. Much longer than the usual 2 minutes of inhaling her dinner. Keeps her mind occupied while getting a treat.

Bought two of these for my both my cats. Just a 'game' for wet treats. A bit disappointed as they are very shallow holes/shapes so it takes me longer to dribble the treats into it then it does for them to lick it all up! Ok overall though decent size and washes well

I needed to slow my cat down after trying a few puzzle feeder bowls which she just gave up with. She'll eat her food too fast and then she's sick. This mat still slows her enough to stop her being sick.

Fussy cat will eat her food off this but won’t eat the same food in a bowl! Worth it for that fact alone. You need to clean these well - took a soak and scrub.

I love this, it's a great idea for greedy pets. My dog-owning friend recommended it, and I'd never heard of Lickimats before. Our cat is completely obsessed with food and gulps down everything far too quickly - so the Casper mat is really useful for feeding him wet treats as it really slows him down. I read that licking is soothing for cats, and stimulates happy hormones, so anything that forces him to slow down his eating must be a good thing! For comparison, we timed him eating a tube of his favourite Lick E Lix treat; when served on a little dish as we previously would do, he wolfed it down in less than 60 seconds, but when served in the Lickimat for the first time he took 15 MINUTES to get every last morsel. Result! You'd need to press the wet food right into the grooves and ridges on the mat to get the most benefit; we use a little plastic knife, or you could use a wooden ice lolly stick. *WORD OF WARNING* As mentioned by a few other reviews, if your pet is exceptionally greedy / obsessed with food, you'll need to supervise them using the Lickimat. No doubt caused by the frustration of knowing there's a tiny bit of food stuck in a crevice that their tongue just can't quite reach, I can see why cats would bite and chew the mat! The material is soft and flexible so it's easy to gnaw on - see my last two photos, only a few seconds with my back turned and our hungry boy had already started to nibble the mat 🙄 I'd recommend this, for only a fiver it's worth the money, easy to clean and a nice size so it won't look too unsightly on your kitchen floor - but definitely don't leave it there too long otherwise bored cats will undoubtedly try and eat it!

I have 4 cats and 2 of them love to hurry up and eat their food then try to push the other cats away from their bowls and eat their food too. I purchased 1 set of 2 of these to see if I could help keep the 2 cats from rushing through their food and eating so much. I was nervous at first because all of my cats eat out of raised bowls but my cats love these feeding mats. I immediately saw a difference in their eating speed. It has helped them to slow down while eating and has stopped them running to the other cats' bowls to try to eat up their food. Now each cat has a chance to eat their own food. I recommend these mats if you have a cat that tries to eat up all the food from other cats. It has definitely improved their eating habits.

I absolutely love these lick mats. I got them for my first cat as a kitten for when he got neutered. Knowing he wouldn't be able to lick himself for a week but he could still get the sense of it with a treat or food and a lick mat. I then started using the mats with my new kitten who eats faster that my cat. I love that they are easy to use and easy to clean. In the summer, I'll mix a churu with some water, pour it into the lick mat and freeze it so my cats have a cool treat on a hot day. I highly recommend especially for indoor cat owners!

Mon chat aime beaucoup quand je lui mets sa pâtée sur ce tapis de léchage. Il prend tout son temps pour manger. Attention : ne fonctionne pas bien avec les pâtées avec morceaux (je prends d'autre pâtées pour ce tapis). Seul bémol qui fait que je ne mets pas 5 étoiles : lavage à la main obligatoire. Je conseille de laisser tremper directement après usage pour ne pas avoir de difficultés à retirer la pâtée qui reste dans les coins.

The design of this food mat is great. This slowed down my faster eater well, which stops her from stealing her sister's food. Easy to clean. I recommend using gravy wet food instead of jelly as it's easier to spread on the mat.

Love that this mat makes my cat slow down its eating. She only gets kibble 1 X per day - the other two meals are wet food. I do not smash it all down into the crevices, but leave some of it just flush with the mat. She does not bother to lick into the little grooves, so we usually have wet food left in the crevices of the mat and when it dries it's not easy to clean out. The indentations are pretty small making it difficult to pry out dried food- so we leave it soaking in the sink. If you do this watch out! It will splatter the water like crazy if the faucet runs on it, spreading water all over the sink and more! Aside from that, this is a good solution and I'd buy it again. This mat is very useful for those with cats that don't chew their food and then get indigestion.
