Great Jeans
Jeans are very well made, study and durable. They fit better than I expected, very comfortable, and the inseam is perfect which can be difficult for 29" inseam. Highly recommended buy.

Look good so far
This review is for the River Wash 100% cotton jeans. My biggest gripe with Wrangler these days is the plethora of different colors, all of which are made of different material blends. I don't like the stretch denim that's popular these days, and have learned that one must look at each color to determine if they are 100% cotton. I have a few pairs of these and they look great with boots. I'm 6'1" and 185 lbs and a size 33"x36" fits me perfectly. Only complaint I have with these is the durability. It's okay but not great, the material is a bit light in most of the 100% cotton colors. I bought a pair that were this style but heavier weight a couple of years ago, unfortunately I've not been able to find them again.

These Jeans Made Me a Cowboy (Almost)
Listen, I’m not a cowboy. I don’t own a horse, I’ve never herded cattle, and the closest I’ve been to the Wild West is a Clint Eastwood movie marathon. But the second I put on these Wrangler Retro Slim Fit Boot Cut Jeans? I was ready. These jeans fit perfectly—snug in all the right places, roomy where it counts, and just the right amount of boot cut to make my boots feel like they were meant for this life. I walked out of my house, and I swear, the wind picked up, a tumbleweed rolled by, and I heard a faint guitar riff in the distance. They’re comfortable, stylish, and durable, making me feel like I could ride off into the sunset (or at least confidently walk into a steakhouse). So, if you want to add a little cowboy energy to your life—even if the only horse you’ve ever ridden was on a carousel—buy these jeans.

Nice looking, not the most durable
These are nice fitting jeans, not too slim so they offer lots of comfort while looking good. Like the pockets, plenty deep and easy to get stuff in & out of. They lose a star as material is on the thinner side and could be of better quality. Rip resistance I would consider lower than average, already developed a small hole after 6 months.

Durable Jeans, Laytons are the best bang for buck in the Wrangler market
Material durable, fits to size, well priced compared to store prices!! color is spot on.

Great style and fit as expected!
Great style and fit as expected! This is a comfortable pair of jeans with a very small amount of spandex included in the material which provides for a bit of stretch and give when moving around. (99% cotton, 1% spandex)I didn’t notice much shrinkage at all, the pockets are an adequate size and the jeans, as with most wrangler products, seem to be well made and durable.

Refer to summary below for different styles. LOTS of variation.
Here’s my summary of Wrangler Retro relaxed boot and slim boot styles over the years:Baseline Body Size: 6’1”, 170 lbs (tall, slim); Typical Jean Size: 31x36.”RELAXED” STYLES:• Relaxed Boot, “Rocky Top” (WRT20RT): 31x36; normal waist; normal fit; no stretch / medium durability.• Relaxed Boot, “Crest” (WRT20CR): 31x36; normal waist; normal fit; no stretch / medium durability.• Relaxed Boot, “Falls City” (WRT20FL): 29x36; very loose waist (downsize by 2”); normal fit; stretch / low durability.• Relaxed Boot, “Rocky Mountain” (WRT20RM): 30x38; loose waist (downsize by 1”); short inseam (upsize by 2”); slim fit (NOT relaxed, they’re my slimmest jeans); stretch / low durability.“SLIM” STYLES:• Slim Boot, “River Wash” (77MWZRW): 31x36, normal waist; slim fit; no stretch / medium durability (my personal favorite).• Slim 20X, “Dillon” (02MWXDL): 31x36; normal waist; relaxed fit (NOT slim); no stretch / good durability.• Slim Boot, “Greeley” (77MWZGL): 31x36; normal waist; normal fit; stretch / medium durability (the relaxed version in “Greeley” is more stretchy with Lyocell).• Slim 20X, “Storm Blue” (02MCVSB): 31x36; normal waist; relaxed fit (NOT slim); no stretch / low durability (thin “Cool Vantage” fabric).• Slim Boot, “Layton” (WLT77LY): 31x36; normal waist; slim fit; stretch / low durability (I don’t like the pocket embroidery).• Slim Boot, “Dax” (77MWZDX): 29x38; very loose waist (downsize 2-3”); weird fit - sits very low and sags (NOT slim); very stretchy / very low durability / very poor breathability (avoid any jeans with polyester!).Hope that helps others. I’ve worn Wrangler Retro and Cowboy Cut for >20 years. I look for good deals (~$30/pair) and have found a few that I like, but I have < 50% success with getting the right size & fit. There is a TON of variability in the Retro styles - some relaxed are slim and vice versa. I have no idea why they change the size & dimensions with each different denim color. Wrangler’s “low-rise” = over-sized waist + either long flat crotch (Dax style) or short crotch (not very comfortable for male anatomy - definitely forces you to wear it low). As a positive, at least they make a range of tall slim sizes, which are hard to find for me.As a general rule, look for 100% cotton with high oz fabric weight, and avoid polyester & any other synthetic content over 1%. Almost all the styles start to fail at the rivets on the back pockets, but the stretch ones fail sooner.I like some of the Retro styles, but wish they just made normal fitting slim, bootcut, mid-rise, durable jeans. I have the same issue with Ariat, Cinch, & Kimes Ranch too.@Wrangler - please bring back the “Rooted” collection for USA made jeans with locally sourced cotton!
