Blum T65.9000 Tandem Plus Tool Set for Drawer Slides Template

I'm presently doing a kitchen remodel and making my own cabinets which contains 17 drawers, this time around I'm using the Blumotion drawer slides for the first time, and will now be using them for any future drawer projects. I'm always looking for more speed and accuracy, this template provides both. I love it and recommend it for anyone that will be using the Blum slides frequently, being that it is pricey. But worth it to me!

Definitely worth the money. Only complaint is that it doesn’t come with the metric drill bits that do the actual drilling.

I ordered a set but didn't really need these tools for the intended purpose. If you have the locks and slides available you can use the locks themselves as a template and do not need the drill extension or collar. Very well designed and a high quality tool kit. Great for a cabinet shop and for when you don't actually have the locks in stock, but way too expensive and not practical for small projects (say less than 20-30 drawer sets or less). You can use the Blum drawer locks and a punch for a template and achieve a perfectly installed lock set (not needed for the drawers slides themselves).

In true European fashion, this is the most delightfully overengineered tool kit for installing drawer slides that you'll ever find. And in the interest of full disclosure, I'll mention that I'm leaving the exact same review for the drawer slide template, because one really isn't that helpful without the other, and because they should be sold together as a single kit. The Blum drawer slides are world class, and to install them properly this tool kit is most helpful. Yes, you can do it without them, but using the kit will help you end up with the razor-crisp accurate fit that you'll undoubtedly strive for. My frustration is that the drill jig comes with the 6mm drill stop, but not the 2.5mm extension. The tool set that has the 2.5mm extension also includes the 6mm drill stop. And neither include the actual drill bits that you'll need. So: to do it properly, you'll need the drill jig, the tool kit, the 6mm drill bit, and the 2.5mm drill bit. Four separate items that should all come as one comprehensive kit. But once you have them, you'll be glad. Installing these drawer slides becomes a 5 minute exercise.
