Robust build, high output, great for UV fluorescent photography
I got the 50 watt version of this UV light for UV fluorescent photography. This type of photography uses fluorescent body paint and creates fine-art photos under UV light. While the light isn't truly UV - it's just above the blue end of the visible spectrum and below the actual UV spectrum - it does work for blacklight photography despite its powerful bluish glow in the visible spectrum. It is built really well and has very bright output, I would estimate it has the intensity of a halogen work light due to the higher frequency of light emitted. Do not look directly at it! I intend to use it in front of and above the subject and perhaps bounced off an aluminum diffusion panel. There is no on/off switch, but that is not important for this application.

Using UV Light to Darken Wooden Hardwood Floor
I'm using this light to darken a new section of laminate hardwood floor that was replaced after a flood. I suspend the light approx. 1 inch above the new wood. It takes approx. 3 or 4 days to darken a section of wood to match the old floor boards that aged normally over 16 years. The light is small, so I'm slowly covering the new boards. If you're doing a large project, you may need several lights (I bought a second one). But the effect of this light is sufficient to do the job (the light penetrates the finish and gently brings out the color in the wood). I've only been running it for a 10 days and so far it's working perfectly. I can't comment about the durability of these lights, but they seem solid to me. Compared to other UV lighting systems, I found this to be good value for money.

This worked for curing resin
It's the winter and I got a rock chip on my windshield. I bought a windshield repair kit and the directions required a temperature of 55 degrees F and up and some time to cure under direct sunlight. The only way I could meet the temperature criteria was in my garage and I don't get direct sunlight in my garage. I bought this light hoping that I could cure the resin indoors. It worked! I went through the repair procedure and used the light to cure the resin. I set it up on a tripod close to the windshield, but it didn't cure the resin after a 2 or 3 hours. It wasn't close enough to where I needed it. So I taped it to inside of the windshield directly behind the repair. I left it for an hour and found the resin was completely cured. I'm going to use it again the next time I have to repair my windshield.

Great light,high build quality!
I got this to use to cure the resin of my 3D printer and I must say it works GREAT! It was much bigger than I expected and the build quality is amazing. The light feels very sturdy and built well. The electrical cord is a thick gauge wire with a ground. The light is bright and can light up a smaller room if need be. If your purchasing this for a resin printer like myself then only place your prints in here for a few minutes as this light is so bright the prints cure almost instantly. I’m very happy with this light and highly reccomend it.

It works Great!
I use this with my Limino UV Resin to make Gemstone embedded jewelry. Pendants, Earrings, Necklaces, and other adornments. The Resin in the mold sets up in just a couple moments. The thicker molds require a few more minutes on each side.

well made inside and out
took it apart because i was actually looking to use it for some UV curing work. that's when i found out that it is a bit of a well put together tank. the front plate is glass and the whole thing is silicon gasketed and held down by clamps, not just screws. at first glance you think the clamps are a crazy idea but if you dunk it in water you see why. the case is solid aluminium, which is great, as the 50 (5x10) LED panel actually has thermal paste between it and the case, creating a heatsink that actually works. probably going to get a 2nd one to actually use underwater. we live by the ocean and i can't wait to see what shows up at night under UV! will definately recommend.

Great UV Black Light.
Great product. I am using this UV LED light as a black Light for parties and DJ events. This Light is very bright. I found that this light will get items to glow to about 40 to 50 ft depending on how bright other lights are in the area. Light is super bright at 20 watts. I plan to purchase a few more of these in the near future. This light is priced more than half the cost of other lights that are marketed as DJ lights. Light puts off a blueish color in the room and in my opinion is brighter than traditional tube style black lights that do not give you any visible light. Power consumption of this light is also lower than traditional black lights. There is a convenient on/off switch located on the back of this light. The mounting bracket that comes with this light is a little flimsy and slightly deformed some as I was using a drilling to enlarge the mounting hole in it.

Great for Alternative Process Printing
I bought this to use for alternative processes like cyanotypes and kallitypes and I've been very satisfied with the results. It is always-on when plugged in, so I have it attached to an old darkroom enlarger timer and the two work perfectly together, with the LED's taking about 2-3 seconds to turn on after first receiving power. The 50W unit 12" away from the coated paper gives me an exposure time of 8-14 minutes for cyanotypes, depending on the negative. Outside of alternative printing applications, it's also pretty cool to just point at stuff sometimes to see them in different colors/reveal details hidden in normal light. P.S. QUANS - If I could change one thing I would dearly love a model that moved the components from below the LED's to allow for a fixed bezel size on all sides, making it easier to tile them.
