I am a preschool teacher at a daycare and let me tell you! The noise levels can get very high.he was whole is perfect because I can wear it as a necklace or I can wear it on my wrist or on my keychain and it's very high pitch so it drops the noise level down very low and draws attention.I use it in the classroom my husband uses it at work when he's working on cranes to signal to the operator his hand signals. We love our whistles. we use it when we go fishing when you sit on the boat we use it for safety purposes.

Good little whistles. I put one by my bed, one in my go bag, one on my keychain. Still got one extra. Loud enough.

I'm in Alaska so in order to actually know if they work for scaring off the bears I would need to find a bear. I want to - don't get me wrong BUT I don't want to need to use this whistle when I do see one! It sounds good to me when I blow it and that's security enough for me!

These are super cute and make a nice loud noise. I'll put 'em in everyone's purse and backpack for personal safety and community safety. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE PICTURE IS MISLEADING -- it shows 7 whistles while I only got 5. I picked it among my product shopping choices based on the PHOTO. Please change the photo. The other photos of the product also show 7.

On wilderness trips my wife and I are often going in different directions. We placed a whistle on all our parkas, rain wear (zippers), hiking poles, cameras as a means of “checking in” with each other. The promotion copy is a little misleading. It shows 7 whistles but only 5 are in the package. They should have all 7 in each pack with an increase in price. I’ve ordered 3 packs in all

When the package arrived I tried out all the whistles, they worked somewhat, but they were not loud as advertised. I then attached one to my keychain and after a few days the inner part of it started to fall out. I pushed it back down but now it doesn’t stay in there and the whistle just doesn’t even work. It really was a waste of money, I would suggest buying a different product because if it came to an emergency situation these are just a tube of useless metal that won’t help at all.

Got the whistles very early which was a surprise but when i got the whistles i tried them right away; at first i was disappointed that the first two (red and blue) didnt work but as soon as i got the third one i realized why they are for emegencies lol. As pleased as i am with three working amazingly i was disappointed that they didnt all work. Would definetly recommend to anyone if all whistles worked.
