It's good enough
The verdict is out, Asus ROG Strix has the best performing RTX 3090. Although this card seems to run very quiet. I also own zotac Rtx 3080 ti and that one is loud. This card does run hotter than other ones, as many have suggested already. However, for average gamers, I am not sure you will be running applications that will actually be affected by this card's slightly inferior cooling capabilities. This is not the best version of 3090s, but its not the worst one. Enjoy.

Expensive but a must for 4k
I was using a 2080ti and it chugged for 4k. It would also max out my fans which was loud. The 3090 is a beast. 4k 60+ fps on everything maxed out and it doesn't break a sweat. I haven't had the loud fan problems others have and I'm playing BF1 max 4k along with other AAA games. Is it worth the money? I bought this at 2500. Expensive but now its rocketed to over 3k. If you can be patient and you think the price will come down than wait. I don't think its getting any better this year.

Quiet and plenty of VRAM
When slightly undervolted or when lowering the TDP (wattage used) manually, this is an almost silent card and has plenty of VRAM along with the ability to drive my 3 screens here (and possibly 4 or 5 as there's 5 ports on the back). Even at stock it really isn't loud and barely broke 75~77c on 3Dmark. Two HDMI and three display ports on the back, and a nice back-plate so hopefully the RAM on the back of the card doesn't get too hot. Solid enough not to sag notably, if properly mounted to a SOLID case. DUAL 8-PIN PCI-E CONNECTORS, NOT 12-PIN high-power (new) connector. Great for upgrading. While these cost 'too much' new, getting them now that the 4090 is out and clearly superior (especially in ray tracing) can get you a good deal with plenty of specs to not get outdated in less than two or three years. Sure, you can buy a much faster 4090 with much improved ray tracing performance, but if that doesn't matter as much as getting a good deal (most of us!), this has just as much VRAM and enough grunt to drive multiple high-res screens without a hitch. Just make sure you have a well-ventilated case and have enough power resources / wattage/amps available for the card to use. Use two different pci-e cables if possible (one plug from each) for best load distribution / best amperage supply available. Consider having AT LEAST 32gb system RAM minimum. Used market has great deals compared to new card prices and 4090 / 3090 Ti prices. For the price of a new 4070 12gb at MSRP you can get a faster card with twice the VRAM, which will last much longer before being obsolete. 12gb and 8gb of VRAM is already not enough, there's also a select few games that use more than 16gb (!) of VRAM but thankfully they're very few and far between currently.

Unreliable, questionable packaging, looks used
It worked great for about a week. Now after running for a little over a week, very unstable. Constant reboots, BSOD, unusable. Its a real shame as I bought a bunch of games and it worked flawlessly for a short time. As many other reviews suggest, Gygabyte obviously has major quality control issues with this card. I have always been a huge fan of Gygabyte boards and ran this on an Aurus board thinking it would mesh better being an all Gygabyte system. Sadly, I am having to return it now, and doubt I will buy anything else Gygabyte branded moving forward. Update: I replaced this with a Asus TUF 3090 TI and night and day difference thusfar. No stability issues, runs cool and quiet, amazing build quality, packaging, what you'd expect when buying anything in this price range. DO NOT BUY THIS GIGABYTE CARD.

Great!
Works and is in good condition. I highly recommend using Amazon used. It's great for the environment and great for getting things on a budget. Cannot complain at all great seller overall.

Excellent GPU, but overpriced
The RTX 3090 is currently the best GPU available. I purchased this to provide GPU acceleration for molecular dynamics simulations on a new computer workstation. An incidental benefit is that it easily drives my triple-monitor setup consisting of a Dell 38-inch 3840 x 1600 curved monitor and two HP 2560 x 1440 monitors. The only downside (and the reason for my rating of 4 stars instead of 5) is that when I made the purchase, these cards were still difficult to find and were overpriced.

Poor cooling performance
I ended up replacing this card with a strix model due to poor cooling performance. This card idles at around 75 to 80 percent fan speed, and did throttle when pushed too hard. I would expect to replace the thermal pads in a year or two if you put it under constant load.

I bought two RTX-3090, one from Solarize and the other from AmberCne. Since this graphic card is not working on my mining rig. I return it to AmberCne, they refund me 100%. Solarize charges me $200 when I return this graphic card. Solarize is not a good business to do business with, they are greedy and customer service is terrible. I do not want anybody have the bad experience with Solarize, the manager Nancy is terrible to dealt with.
