After suffering for months with ear pain (a condition called CNH where cartilage is inflamed), I purchased 5 different pillows with a "hole" to get relief by "suspending" sore ear during the night. The only one that worked was PWAH. (Others were too thick or too thin (with no way to adjust fill), smelly, uncomfortable.) The PWAH pillow has allowed my ears to "calm down" considerably, and I am back to a good night's sleep. PWAH is comfortable, doesn't get warm during the night, is easy to care for, sized just right for travel, has easy-to-adjust fill, and was an easy transition from my cushy down pillow (that part surprised me the most). You can try to design your own DIY pillow with a hole (good luck with that!) like I did, but life is short so consider getting the real deal: Pillow With a Hole. I have used this pillow for five nights now. The first two nights it was fine, no problems it stayed firm and stayed in place on my other pillow. The third night I woke up during the night and my head along with this pillow had slid down to the corner of my bigger pillow... not good... The past two nights it has slid down to the corner of the bigger pillow and my ear even moves slightly out of the hole... so I'm kinda back where I started. And now the pillow is breaking down and the firmness is almost all gone. My advise is pay attention and read about the product and get the Original Pillow With A Hole and save yourself time and sleeplessness.

I needed a pillow with a hole in it so I can sleep on my side comfortably with my Bose Sleep Buds. I purchased another pillow on Amazon for double the price and found that I could not get too comfortable as the ear hole was too small and the pillow was stand alone. This pillow is not big at all and needs to be used as a second pillow. So place it on your favorite pillow and the you now have enough space for your ear. Works great just set expectations this is too small to use by itself. But if you have a need for a hole for your ear this works best.

I am on a quest to find the perfect pillow that supports my neck, relieves pressure on my ear and gives enough support to get a good night's sleep without waking up with a creaking neck. This one is great for ear pressure. The four stars are for that feature alone. As for the rest, well, first of all, I had a great belly laugh when I took it out of it's tiny bag and unrolled this absolutely paper-thin piece of plastic. I thought there was just a pillow-shaped picture printed on the plastic, but no, it was just vacuum packed and when I cut open the plastic envelope, the pillow emerged like one of those bath toys the kids have that grows when they get them wet. When I tried it out, I thought it wasn't going to work at all for me. It's too flat and provided no neck support. However, when I tried it on top of a regular pillow, it was perfect for giving my ear the open space it needs to let me sleep without waking up to a throbbing ear pain. So, it's a keeper. Still not the champion perfect pillow, but it will do until I find the best pillow ever.

Got otoplasty and would have to sleep on my back for at least a couple months. Since I'm a side sleeper I was very pleased to find this pillow. As others have mentioned, it is smaller than a standard pillow, but that's not an issue. I place it on top of a regular pillow. It works fine in keeping pressure off my sore ears until they fully heal. I did have to remove the pillow case because there is a seam around the hole that was a bit uncomfortable.

It was much smaller than I thought it would be. And the hole for the ear is too small. It is usable but I wouldn't purchase it again. It could be a little thicker as well.

I adore this ear pillow! Maybe it’s related to getting older, but I recently realized that my ears got sore when I slept on my side. Not anymore! This pillow is smooth, cool and comfortable. I use it on top of my regular pillow for a little more neck support, as well as ear pain relief. Hard to go wrong.

I am not a very large guy (5'8", 150) with normal size ears. The hole isn't placed properly (it's right in the center) so it is a waste of money because the whole point of having this kind of pillow is so that your ear doesn't rub against the material). It is way too small for my ears so it still rubs against my ear.

My husband had a re- occurring growth on his ear and needed a biopsy on his ear on the Friday, the Dermatologist suggested I order the pillow. I ordered it from Amazon while still in the office & it arrived the Next morning. He has been using it ever since. The dermatologist said the reason this growth was reoccurring was due to pressure on the cartilage of the ear, so this pillow will relieve any pressure causing inflammation of the cartilage of the ear. He is very satisfied!
