This gate is heavy, extremely sturdy and a very effective, yet simple, design. I am beyond satisfied! We are using 2 of the 3-panel, 60-inch wide and 30-inch tall gates to keep my average-sized Yorkie from sneaking bathroom stops in our bedrooms when it's too hot outside. Before ordering, I thought we may need to also buy the base feet that are sometimes used with free-standing gates or that they may need to lean against the wall. But, with the hinge design and weight of the material they are balancing pretty securely without feet. Our gates are wider than the 38" wide walkways we have, which is also helpful. That way we can walk through by just moving a panel slightly forward on the hinge and immediately replacing it. Another note: these gates replace a pressure-mounted one we had previously. Our little Yorkie was able to squeeze right through the gaps near the wall and the locking swing door on that gate. We had added mesh with zip ties, which looked terrible and ended up wearing and tearing down very quickly with our children passing through many times daily. As the zipties broke, paint on our walls was also damaged, so I removed the rest knowing we'll have to touch-up paint anyhow. I have high hopes for these new gates, plus they look so much nicer!

This 96-inch freestanding dog gate is working so well for us. It is versatile. We use it to block off a hallway during the day, and at night we reconfigure it to make a 2 x 4 foot pen for the two new dogs to sleep in. It is safe. Our small dogs cannot knock it over. It is high quality, and it contains our small dogs perfectly. This is easy to use. The only installation required is to attach the latch on the gate.

I love this gate it is well made and sturdy. I t is a very attractive gate and looks very nice.

The gate is every bit as tall and wide as promised, I bought the 80 inch one. It’s fairly heavy and feels solidly constructed. There are only two hinges on each side of a panel and three would be much more solid. So far the two seem to do the job, and I haven’t felt any looseness or wiggling as I move the panels around. It is made in China if that matters to you. The white paint job seems adequate in thickness and evenly applied. I think the product pictures are a bit misleading in that the way they shoot them with the backgrounds, It was easy to assume that that wire was also painted some version of white to match the wood, however, they are pure galvanized grey wire like you would find in any fencing product. To some degree the sharp edges have been smoothed, which is something better than it could have been. The description doesn’t specifically say that it comes with feet and Amazon will try to get you to buy a pack of feet to go with it, but mine did come with 2 feet and though they slide on from the top instead of the bottom, they seem to have good tolerances fit well and do the job well. All of the panels and the feet do you have an adequate rubber or nonslip pad in various places and I have no concern about the placement on the wood floor where I’m using this. My windows are about 50 inches wide, and this unit easily covers across the window that I was trying to protect, including zig zagging the shape to make it more sturdy in a freestanding configuration. For the materials used, I don’t consider the price, especially a bargain, however, compared to other offerings it’s a very fair deal and as long as you don’t mind the gray wire, probably the best deal out there that I was able to find. It was packaged very well, and I found no defects. I recommend this as a do buy.

This indoor fence looks great. Professional feel. I like the door for easy access to each room. This is a stand alone which works perfect for my needs.

The gate is sturdy. Beautiful color. I like the latch for the door. It glides to lock vs the sliding ones. We use it at the front door to keep the pups from running out. Works exactly as intended.

Love the gate and that it has a door you can walk through. It is nice that it is free standing so doesn't have to attach and keeps my dogs out of my living room very easily!

Very well made, my kitchen has a regular sized opening, my living room opening is 58 inches. And over 73 total inches of space I needed to cover. I was trying to do it with one unit. Be sure you have the correct measurements for what you need. That was my fault. The unit is built quite well and it’s easy to look at. Priced accordingly for the size.

I have a small dog and this gate is perfect for keeping him on our deck at our cottage! The quality is amazing and so well built. Not too often do you get quality like this folding gate has! I would highly recommend this item if you are looking for a dog restraint!

I love this brown Spirich freestanding gate. It goes so well with the furniture in my living room and effectively does its job of preventing my pup from reaching the wires on the floor since he would chew almost anything. The gate is sturdy, handsome looking, and sufficiently tall for my needs. I intend to buy this gate again as I review the other places in my home that needs safeguarding against the mighty chewer!
