Beautiful scale detail and easy to see in the sky
So before taking your plane out for a flight theres some tips and preflight tricks you can do to better enhance your flight experience. First off is that even with the battery tucked into the nose the plane is a little tail heavy however just a few grams of weight in the nose will take care of that and bring the CG right on the mark. As well adjusting the link horns on the servo throws of the rudder to lessen its athority will help lessen the chance of the spiral stall of death some reviewers had a man by the name ground control rc goes over that in his detailed review. Slight reinforcement on nose cone and bottom connecting front wheel arms will help keep front landing gear intact little longer as well keeping the model itself in one piece since it is a very well detailed plane. If you want to have the ability to turn on and off stability using the XK transmitter will do the trick even though it doesnt have hobby grade gimbals it is a decent RTF transmitter, however with the flight board on my purchase i was not able to bind it to my hobby grade trasmitter on the XK Wltoys protocol like many reviewers show. Instead i was able to bind it only on the V911s E119 protocol setting up my own rates on a switch only catch is that stability mode is still engaged almost working like spectrums AS3X assistance. So if you want to fly it with a flight board that doesnt bind to the XK protocol on hobby grade TX than you ll have to use to provided remote. All in all it is a well built and capable J3 Cub not for young age fliers unless they have flight experience under their belt. As well happy to buy from GoolRC since never had a problem with products and esp customer service from them. Edit 09May24 Also from Ground Control RC you can add Wing Cuffs i made mine out of poster board 40mm X 64mm to keep the least amount of added wing surface. The key is to have the cuff come out 10mm from the leading edge of the wing with the width of the cuff being 64mm. Edit 13Aug24 As you can tell i first started with returning all the surfaces back to OEM. I came up with a theory after observing that in this updated FC motor setup with the 2S Lipo was just providing enough output power to climb out. Since a J3 Cub style of flight is relaxed and not full throttle thru out the flight. I Found and tested several flights now using a Ovonic 3S 500mah 30c and verified normal temperature readings on pair of them and enjoyed the relaxing flights of my litely modified J3 Cub A160. In the additional picture it can be observed that i did have to slightly open the battery slot inside the plane, reinforced fwd landing gear and cut out some cross members on both Batt bay and FC bay to allow more air flow to keep temps stable just in case. Now that i have added these adjustments it flies like a dream using the stock TX or even more refined flight on my RadioKing 4 in 1 TX.

Rudder control issues make Cub un-airworthy
The rudder issues with this plane are real. It has nothing to do with pilot skill. Basically, as soon as the throttle is activated on the plane (which in turn activates the gyro), the rudder all but stops responding. There is also cross-channel signal noise where full right rudder will instead result in up elevator. If you dig deep enough on YouTube, you'll find that this is probably due to an incorrect capacitor used in wiring the ESC to the receiver. And, in theory, it is correctable. But why invest your own time and money in fixing a factory defect when there are plenty of other planes out there at this price point? I did not even attempt to fly my Cub. I returned it after checking the flight controls post assembly. There's no way it would do anything but crash horribly. It's also quite heavy for its size, tho, and so I'm sure it would only survive a couple crashes. It's too bad. Despite a somewhat difficult assembly (zero instructions), it's a good looking model, and the motor seems quite powerful.

This is a great plane for the money. I have no issues besides a few flimsy parts, which are fixable.
This is a great looking plane. The only issue I have is the exhaust on the front. They are fragile, but it turns out for the better I took them off and now it flies much better and turns better overall it’s a good plane for the money I have no issues with it and also the landing gear suck so I took them off because they’re fragile and come out so I’ll try to modify them to be stronger overall a good plane

Pretty cool...
This little airplane and controller are actually a cut above the typical toy. 4-channel with actual micro servos for the control surfaces. Pretty easy to land, but the small wheels are no good. I just take the wheels off and belly land it. Works just fine. I say this model is for the park-flying novice. A complete beginner can make it fly if they can decipher the instructions. Make sure all the micro-servos are solidly mounted, and have all the throws set. And there you have it. Robert is your mother's brother.

AWFUL I’m so upset Absolutely terrible
I’m so upset I bough this back in October for my for Christmas and now I’m unable to return it. When we opener it was broken and when I mean broken, it’s completely unusable! The pieces are missing, screws are missing . Broken arm supports. The motor was seizing. The directions are missing. It’s total garbage!!! The star is there because I had to put one but be aware!

Assemble instructions are very POOR and some parts don't fit correctly.
Giving three stars based on the difficulty in assembling the wings as one spar is too long, and the locking yellow twists are too short and one broke while locking it. The wing gyro wires/connectors are not marked as to what plug connects to what plug. There are absolutely no directions as to what screws go where so it's a guessing game when the screws are going into soft materials that the plane is made of so be very careful when guessing what screw go where when assembling the plane. Assembly instructions don't identify spare parts either/ We haven't flow it yet but will try it on a calmer day. The plane is good looking and seems sturdy thus the three star rating. I will update my post as soon as we fly it. Hoping the left- and right-wing gyros are properly connected, if not disassembly will be required and as stated the wing lock downs yellow in color are not long enough and one is broke so they and a wing spar will need to be replaced,

The crowl- (engine compartment)
It does extremely well if you HOT GLUE A PENNY IN THE FRONT OF CROWL! Its a lot more stable in the air and isn't tail heavy. It also has a special reminder that due to "ic electronic materials" it has a different receiver board that's better! Looks identical to the A280 P-51 Thunderbolt receiver board. Just different frequency. It flys like it too! It's a really good plane for Beginners (NO DOUBT)!!! YOUTUBE videos aren't too impressed with its flight, well I don't think they have this new receiver board in it!
