Sealing bags is a piece of cake.
The Ruruii brand manual impulse bag sealer was precisely what I needed. I had previously sealed packages only with a hot air gun, but the results were poor. Many bags had plastic overhanging, and I had to cut off any excess with scissors. This is more work. The result is that the packages were poorly packaged. The Ruruii bag sealer, however, has proven to be highly effective, ensuring a perfect seal every time and boosting my confidence in the quality of my packaging. This machine, the Ruruii brand manual impulse bag sealer, is the ultimate solution to all of the above. It boasts unique features that set it apart from other sealers. Let's delve into some of these features: • I like the blue color of the machine. • Its dimensions are: 15.7" (length) x 3" (width) x 6.93" (height). • It weighs 3.5 lb and is lightweight. • It doesn't require a warm-up time. Before connecting it to the power supply, set the temperature as indicated in the instructions. I used it on mode three, and the job was perfect. • It's incredibly user-friendly. Place the bag over the original seal and hold the handle for 2-3.5 seconds for an optimal seal. I discovered that I can easily tear away the excess plastic, leaving a perfect seal. In conclusion, the 12-inch impulse sealing machine for plastic bags has exceeded all my expectations. It has not only solved all my previous delays and inconveniences but also saved me a significant amount of time. Sealing plastic bags is now a quick and efficient task, allowing me to be more productive. I no longer waste bags on poorly sealed ones, making it a cost-effective solution. Based on my pleasant experience, I recommend this fantastic sealing machine from Runruii and rate this review 5/5.

Works great for diving up vacuum-sealed bags of food for freezer
I store a lot of food in my freezer, whether meats I've sous-vided, veggies I've frozen, or even things like croissants and such. I vaccum-seal them all in standard sous vide bags, so that I don't ever have to worry about freezer burn -- it doesn't matter whether I reheat that croissant in the toaster oven 5 days later or 10 months later. But I generally want to reheat just a single portion -- a single steak, a pair of chicken thighs, a single croissant. But using my vacuum sealer to vacuum and seal both sides of each individual steak, each individual croissant, takes forever. So I do them in a long row -- a single long bag with 5 steaks spaced out, or 8 croissants spaced out. I seal them at once, then I use this to create seals *in the middle* of the bag, in between each individual item. This way I can cut open the end or cut off a single pouch and reheat a single portion without breaking the seal on all of them, and I don't have to use my vacuum sealer again to re-seal the rest. This works great for that. It does exactly what I want. I was worried because I saw a lot of negative reviews about it not making a good seal, not making a consistent seal (better towards the hinge), or the bottom of the unit melting or something. In terms of making a good seal: you have to figure out the right number to use and hold it down long enough. E.g. my sous vide bags don't get a consistent seal on #2, but on #4 it's perfect. The light stays on for only about a second and that doesn't produce a good seal, but holding it down for 6 seconds produces a perfect seal. If you're not getting a good seal, increase the number and/or hold it down longer. In terms of consistency: there is no difference in the seal closer to the hinge or further away. But it does make contact close to the hinge first, so I have to guess this is people closing it and opening it slowly, and not holding it down for long enough in between. In terms of melting: I'm only use this to make 15 or 20 seals at a time. Nothing is getting hot or melting on the bottom, it's fine. I can't speak to whether you could use this to seal 1,000 packages in a row over the course of an hour though. Obviously at some point it might overheat, and I don't see any indication of a safety mechanism to automatically shut off once it gets above a certain temperature. So it works perfectly for me. My two main complaints are: 1) The packaging is impossible to open, because they glue-gun the cardboard box shut, and the cardboard is extremely thick and heavy-duty. You basically have to destroy the box to open it which means a return would be an ugly thing. 2) This thing is super ugly. It definitely looks like it belongs in a factory, and not an office or kitchen. I don't know why nobody manufactures an attractive version of this? DOTPRO sells an 8 inch one that's vastly more attractive, but sadly not a 12 inch one like this. But this does the job and it's inexpensive, so it works. Even though it's ugly, I'll still give it 5 stars since it's obvious from the photos that it's ugly. I knew what I was getting.

It just works for so many things
What a deal for $20 and whatever it was I can cut mesh and that doesn’t fray I can seal bags which save me money and it just is perfect thank you to whoever created this I can leave it plugged in and it doesn’t heat up until I push the lever down, it’s just too easy

Turns on before closed
EDIT: the seller quickly reached out to me about this problem and offered a full refund. Original review below: The only way this even sort of works is if you slam the handle down as fast as you can. The switch turns on before the bag is held in place so the cycle is partway finished before it is holding it in place. Turning the dial higher can possibly help but will likely burn it out faster. This results in inconsistent or just failed seals. Just a poor design in my opinion. This looks like the other impulse sealers I have used and the cheap price seems very attractive but the quality and function of this makes is almost unusable. I took the bottom plate off and bent the part that contacts the switch and was able to get it to close BEFORE it turns on. In the process, I noticed the control board is missing a screw and another one broke the plastic where it attached. It still works but it shows the quality control of this item is not very good. The case itself is plastic which isn't necessarily a problem and for the price that is expected. If you need a good seal every time this is probably not the one you want. Judging by the other reviews, this is likely to stop working or break and mine was not even usable as it arrived. If I hadn't been willing to open it up and modify it (or if returning it didn't involve a 40 mile round trip) I would have just returned it.

Works great!
Bought items I wanted to shrink wrap. After watching many YouTube videos that used this, I got it. Very happy with it. Still getting to know the temp ranges for the wrap I have but it works great.

Extremely Awkward and Frustrating to Use
To small and clunky to easily seal mylar bags. The fact that it needs to be placed on the ground doesn't help. It got the job done after a lot of swearing and errors. Save yourself a headache and buy something else
