Protects my network drive!
We get a lot of daft little 3-4 second power cuts where I live, often, many of them one after the other. I've already lost a 4TB hard drive from my NAS due to this so I thought I'd better prevent it from happening again. This device does NOT come with a power cable, but anyone who has computer(s) is bound to have about half a dozen spare ones lying around. If not, it's just a standard kettle lead. The outputs aren't regular 3-pin plugs, instead using C13 outputs. This might seem daft but you do get a smaller unit than it would be if there were six fullsize UK plug sockets on the back instead. I had to make a short adapter to plug in the transformer of my BT Home Hub 5 (3-pin socket on one end, C14 connector on the other). I also replaced the plug on my NAS drive with a C14 connector, which then plugged straight into the back of the UPS. I've probably made this sound more complicated than it is. If you know how to wire a standard plug, it's all very straightforward. I have a Synology NAS which, when connected to the UPS with the supplied USB cable, allows the NAS to shut down safely and automatically after either a fixed period of time, or when the UPS battery runs low. In either case, low UPS battery will force the NAS to safely shut down anyway. I only have my Home Hub 5 and NAS connected to the UPS. My phone line is VoIP so with no internet, I have no phone, which would be bad in emergency situations. Using this UPS, the display claims that it will support both devices for approximately 66 minutes. When the NAS goes into sleep mode (i.e. not used for an hour), power requirements will be minimal and the UPS support period will be even longer. It has a nice display on the front which shows you various information including power input voltage/frequency, output voltage, current draw, battery charge level, expected battery runtime, and more. You swap through the screens by each press of the "Display" button. The screen auto-powers off after a few seconds if not touched. There is also a Mute button which can be used to switch off the very audible warning beep when there's a power cut. Overall, brilliant item that will hopefully protect my hardware for years to come.

Great UPS for Home/Office use
Great UPS which integrates with my Synology to gracefully shut it down. Holds a really good amount of charge that I can power my comms cabinet at home and 2 synology for over an hour.

Ticks all the main boxes for backup home power for Modems and NAS servers
So what I was looking for was something to talk to my Synology NAS down from full power to a nice sleeping state- and also to power the main home modem/router for longer - a couple of hours. The nice things about this are that it is plug and play and has an lcd display as well. The USB connection to the Synology NAS - just works with minimal configuration - so the NAS now powers down gracefully in the event of a power failure after 5 minutes - unlike QNAP and Buffalo - have found Synology very sensitive to power blips - so this prevents me having to spend a lengthy amount of time bringing it back online. The LTE/Fixed Wireless Modem - is powered by the UPS - and seems to have 4-5 hours of runtime in a power loss situation ( - a standard modem that doesn't have to power a mast would probably run for much longer) For the size of the battery - this NAS is still fairly tidy and slots into a 4U slim horizontal space - and also runs fairly quiet. So overall all fairly happy with this - would have given it 5 stars if it came with a UK Plug and something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B082VJLJLZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (So that you can seamlessly plug in whatever you need to)

Completely failed its job.
Bought two years ago. Tested multiple times, worked fine every time I did. Today I had my first ever power shortage. Lights all flickered around the house, but all devices stayed on fine. EXCEPT everything connected to my UPS. All devices attached to it lost power and my Pi was corrupted. Useless enough as it is, but the fact that *everything* else in my house managed to remain on through the flicker makes this even more laughable. Not buying Cyberpower again.

Works with QNAP TS-251D
Got this today for my QNAP TS-251D as we have had at least 1 powercut a week over the last month. Unboxed it, plugged it in then plugged in the qnap, then the usb comms cable between both and all is working well - the Qnap reckons it has about an hours runtime via this UPS which is great. Have tested it multiple times now and NAS keeps running. There is no power lead with the UPS but there is a kettle lead extension...the idea seems to be you use your existing desktop/NAS kettle lead to run the UPS and the supplied extension lead to power the computer off the NAS. Also, FYI, when i unboxed the UPS and wiggled it a little there was a rattle from the inside...however, after taking the front panel off this just seems to be down to some free space around the internal battery (2-3mm either side) so nothing to worry about. No issues and seems to be a nice compact unit. The LCD display is also a nice touch as well as it can show remaining battery (time and percent) as well and input/output consumption.

Linux/Unraid compatible
Bought this to keep my Unraid server up during short power outage blips and to allow graceful shut down during longer power cuts. Gives me around 15 minutes runtime which is ample.... my server is fairly power hungry so was actually pleasantly surprised. Plugged in via USB and Unraid recognised it with no issues and allowed me to configure what I want to happen in the event of a power cut. Nice compact size and looks smart. Great price and gives peace of mind. Would recommend.

UPS with Intermittent Buzzing: Functional but Not Quiet Enough for Home Office
I had high expectations for this UPS, particularly for it to operate silently. A few of the reviews here indicated it was free of any background noise, which raised my hopes. Unfortunately, my experience didn't align with those expectations. The unit I received worked fine most of the time but occasionally produced a noticeable buzzing sound that was louder than my PC's fan. This intermittent noise, disappearing and reappearing, proved to be quite disruptive in my compact home office setting. On a positive note, the setup process was straightforward, and the front display was user-friendly and clear. It's possible I just received a defective unit. I've since returned it and plan to research other models more thoroughly before making another purchase.

Better runtime, better software and better value for money than the market leader alternative.
I'm usually an APC man given I support IT infrastructures for a variety of companies but I;ve found that APC units aren't nearly as good as they used to be in terms of quality and longevity. I purchased this unsit to reaplace a similar APC unit for a company, and was impressed with the huge increase in runtime compared to to same price APC unit. I've got a server, 24 port switch, and internet connection (router and full fibre modem) powered off the unit and I've got around 68 minutes of runtime compared to the 34 minutes from the same price APC device. There is also a nice "mute" button that the APC unti doesn't have. Software works with servers whereas you either need to "tweak" the APC software to allow you a shutdown and restart option unless you go for their "Pro" option which doubles the price, so happy with the software. Overall, it' s a whole lot of UPS compared to the market leader for a lot less money. The 900w gives me a great runtime for short powercuts and only time will tell if the batteries will perform better than APC, but anything over 3 yearsis a bonus for me. So far, really impressed with what is delivered for a very reasonable price.
