Rubbermaid Brilliance Glass Food Storage Container, 8-Cup Food Container with Lid (2 Pieces Total), BPA Free and Leak Proof

Over the years, like most, probably, I have accumulated all sorts of glass containers with "butterfly" closures, but after some use, either the closing tab broke off, or the it was close to impossible to open. Time to give them away. No more hurting your fingers, or applying too much force in order to close or open a lid. With these new Brilliance containers, opening and closing work well, be that for the glass version or for the "plastic" version (not sure what the material is). All of the Brilliance have many sizes that stack very well together (small fits on top of large, etc.). Personally, I use the "plastic" version for pantry, snacks, etc., and the glass ones, for storing left-over food, or for freezer. Yes, buying lots of them can be expensive (don't have to buy all at once), but they seem so well made, they keep your pantry organized, and surely, will last a very long time. All, including lids are dishwasher safe. To me, these are a great purchase!

I love the fact that you can put it in the oven, microwave, the refrigerator or the freezer. Obviously you don’t go from the fridge or freezer directly into the oven. You need to let the container warm up. The lid seals great I’m so happy with it I actually bought two more sets of various sizes. When storing the containers actually fit into themselves. I’m using a 4.7, 3.2, and 2 quart container and they do fit nicely so easy store. It’s very easy to clean up and it’s also dishwasher safe. When putting in the dishwasher put the lid on the top shelf to prevent any damage, I learned the hard way from my mistake. I’d highly recommend these.

Product is durable. Ease to open. Function well. Like the design.

Bought this to make my coffee cake in as well as store it in the same container. Perfect size and great way to seal it air tight to prevent spoilage. Goes in the oven if temps are under 400 degrees, cleans like a dream in the dishwasher. It is quite heavy since its glass. I haven't used in microwave.

Well I do love this product and the strength of the glass. It can be microwaved or put in the oven. That is the nice part. How ever one of the plastic flippers that hold the lid on went flying off the first week I had it and not from strain on it at all. We were quite taken back when it happened. My husband wrote to the company and it's been a couple months and we have had no reply. So that is the disappointing part. The lid feels basically useless since I cannot lock it down. I bought 3 of a smaller size and 2 of this size. The others have been fine so far leaving me to believe the one had a flaw. Again it is disappointing that the company has not come back with offering a replacement lid.

I like the glass. The lid is plastic and though it isn't a perfect seal, the flaps keep it closed and tight enough. Good size to stack in refrigerator. Glass is heavy. I use them a lot and they are holding up well. Durable.

These are perfect replacements for the cheap plastic containers that hold onto stains and unlike the plastic containers are easy to clean. Best part is no leaching of chemicals into food when you use them to hold what you're reheating.

I was looking for something to cut down 9x13 recipes in half as I live alone. It fits the bill. It’s not exactly flat on the bottom. It wiggles and rattles on the counter. Of course that doesn’t affect its function. The lid seems iffy. It feels like it takes a lot of odd twisting forces in the process of removing it because it is on there so tight. I’m sure after a couple dozen cycles through the dishwasher the plastic will only get more brittle. Of course the now widely available glass bakeware isn’t your grandmother’s Pyrex so maybe the lid will outlast the glass. lol
