For sturdy picture hanging
I do alot of picture hanging in my work. Most pictures I remove from the wall are only held up by a piece of scraggly wire that could crash to the floor at any moment. I always replace the wire this product. One single wire will hold up to 50 pounds when the included crimp on attachments are used

Excellent picture hanging kit!
I don’t like the stress of having to hang pictures with two hooks, so I use this wire to hang my pictures on one hook. It’s easy to use and secure.

Sturdy, but does not wrap and bend like normal picture wire.
This is a multiple thread, heavy duty hanging wire. I was expecting to be able to wrap it around itself to secure it, in addition to using the fasteners. However, unlike normal picture wire, you can not bend, wrap, or mold this wire. You must use the fasteners to secure it. So the strength of your hanging or hold depends on how tightly you can flatten-seal the fasteners. The fasteners are difficult to flatten because they are fairly thick. I was also at a disadvantage because I had to rely on the wire-cutting portion of a poor quality set of needle-nose pliers. This wire is difficult to cut cleanly without high-quality wire cutters. The ends kept fraying from my rough-cut ends, so it took a lot of patience, time, and borrowed strength from a neighbor to be able to get the ends cut and threaded through the fasteners. I used this to hang a 50 lb mirror. I wish I could have had the added security of tightly wrapping the wire around itself, but the wire is definitely strong enough to hold. Fasteners, I'm not so sure. I was also a bit disappointed that the plastic spool was completely cracked. I didn't notice it until I got it out of the tight plastic wrap it came in since it was holding the broken pieces and wire in place. The spool part that broke off is the part needed to keep the wire from becoming a complete unwieldy, unspooled mess. If you are hanging something heavy, I would use two fasteners on each end. With a good clamp-seal on all the fasteners it should make whatever you are hanging really secure. This wire is for you if you have the brute strength to cut through the wire and flatten-seal the fasteners, have a proper wire cutter and pliers for sealing, and are looking for a lightweight but strong, multi-thread wire.

I just hung a 100+ pound mirror using this wire. Works great!
Easy to use. You'll need a pretty heavy duty pair of dikes to cut this wire and to crush the tubular friction clamps. I just hung a 100+ pound mirror using this wire. Works great!

Fixed a umbrella
I have a freestanding umbrella that I can wind down when the wind kicks up. It is on my back porch and gets a lot of winding up and down. This umbrella used an internal nylon cord to do this. The cord broke after a couple of years. I didn't want to use the same stuff to just repair it again. This wire was just what I needed. It was flexible enough to wind up within the mechanism and strong enough to assure me I would not be fixing it again. It is fixed and now I have an almost full spool for other fix-it tasks. Good stuff.

Wire won’t twist or bend.
The wire will not bend in order to twist it on the hooks of the frame. You must use special clips that crimp onto the wire and require a special tool. This is probably good for a professional Gallery, not so good for the at home Artist.
