Easy to read very Accurate!

The number is big, easy and to see the temperature from inside

Works fine I guess. Feels and looks cheap, hence the cheap price. Returned for a smaller, better looking one

My thermometer arrived well-packaged and I put it on the deck immediately. It has registered the temperature within a degree or two of another thermometer located on the horse barn. Of course, when the sun shines on it for a couple hours each morning, the temp is way too high, but that happens with any thermometer in the direct sun. I just check the temp early, before the sun hits it. This seems to be a good thermometer, accurate enough for our needs, and very easy to read, even from inside the house. I would buy another.

My experience and opinion: The plastic housing is thin and not structurally sound as it appears there isn't sufficient support ribbing within the housing. The two slots for hanging are poorly designed and located so it is very difficult to slide over mounting screws (which you, the buyer provides/finds to fit). Because the internal spring which expands and contracts to move the needle to show temperature is so exposed to the plastic housing and surface you mount the unit to readout is influenced. Don't mount it exposed to the weather, in direct sunlight or in a shaded area as you will likely not get any accurate reading. There are three tabs and slots to hold the clear plastic face shield on/in place and two broke off when relocating and rehanging the unit. Considering having GOOP on hand to glue it back together if you have this experience.

Works as expected

Works fine. Easy to read as it is mounted about 20 feet from our back door. You can mount it fairly securely on 2 screws so that it stays fixed in the wind. There is no backing on it, so the internal bimetallic coil may be exposed to water and ice depending on how you mount it. I suppose that is best in terms of getting accurate current temps, but eventually it stopped working and would not display any temperatures below 40F. It lasted almost 2 years so I'm buying another one. If this one doesn't last any longer then my next purchase may be one of the battery powered wireless units.
