Wondefull while useing for back packing camping trips

These are a knock off of a major brand that work better than expected. They are sturdy and heavy duty with quality rope that are plenty long enough. The ratchet is nice and heavy and ratchets without any problems.

I use ratchet straps for everything in my pick up truck. I’m constantly carrying a variety of objects in the back that I want to secure from flopping around. Sometimes however the ratchet straps are overkill and a bit cumbersome. These are an excellent step between having nothing at all and using the old powerful ratchet strap. I use these to secure gas cans to the side of the bed of my truck. I will hold down a basket that I have sporting equipment in and they perform admirably. Considering how quickly and easily they compressed down into a super tiny space, these are far more versatile than the traditional ratchet strap. I always find it very frustrating to clean up from a transport and have to roll up my straps, rubber band them together, and put them into their bucket. No more!A couple of comments about daily use is that you need to keep in mind that the release is on the pulley itself. So don’t clip the pulley into an area that it’s going to be hard to reach once you put your cargo in place. So when I’m clipping into the front of my truck bed underneath the Tonnele cover, I use the carabiner on the end of the rope and not the one attached to the pulley. That’s a mistake you only make once or twice. Additionally, if you have these under high tension, that tension is being put directly onto the gears and lock inside the pulley. So if you have high tension it can be difficult to engage the release. Under those circumstances, pull on your access line to tighten the rope just a little bit and this will take tension off of the lock. Engage the release and let go and you’re all set.

These are quite handy little pulleys... The rope is fairly strong and their use is pretty straightforward. I use them in a few different places in my shop and I’m always trying to find more areas I can use them (since the package had 12 of them.) I purchased them to make a curtain that I can move up and down over my window since I can’t put up curtain rod holders on the wall. The only issue is the ratchet locks... I had to zip-tie the levers open so I could just use them as regular pulleys since as for this application, there is no way to use the ratcheting function (or at least I’m not sure how I can conveniently do that.)

Along with the stakes and sand bag systems provided by many pop up canopy suppliers, using the adjustable rope clips from the top of the canopy legs to the ground and clipping onto a heavy duty stake placed at an angle will eliminate the upper part of the canopy from twisting and shaking in breezy conditions. The Eurmax canopies have ring clips above the canopy legs which makes using fast and easy, Clip it on the canopy ring, clip it onto the stake and tighten the rope by pulling the end through the ratchet mechanism. They arrive completely assembled and ready to use. They are great for added peace of mind and most likely will enhance the life of the canopy frame by minimizing twisting, wobbling and shaking. I use the rebar type stakes with the welded ring to attach the rope clip. The ratcheting mechanism makes quick work of any adjustment that may be needed.

These things are so nice that I didn’t even need the instructions at all. It’s pretty straight forward and the seem to be really sturdy. 150lb max weight and I’m sure it’ll hold up my tent itself let alone the little led I hav hanging from it. It looks so clean and neat inside my tent with these hangers. The value is top notch can’t beat it anywhere.
