Review: As intended/expected - Works great. I'd definitely buy again. We use them when foliage around us is too wet or if we can't get a good smoke going.

Best pellet smoke Ive used
Stumbled upon this brand of smoke pellets for bees. These are awesome! Long burning with lots of cool smoke that "calms" the bees. Much less creosote in the smoker. And they do not go out. Can I buy by the 5lb bag?? And they come with cotton balls (soak with alcohol) for lighting. Plus, a fairly pleasant smell, as smoke goes.

Junk pellets - dried twigs are better than this
I bought these to save time, but they are a complete time waster. They don't light well nor do they stay lit. I pulled out my torch yesterday after screwing around with it for 4 weeks. They don't burn, they don't smolder. The 5 cotton ball "fire starters" that they include burn and smoke better than the pellets, but you can get a whole bag of cotton balls for less than $4 at Walmart. Dried twigs and grass work 10 times better than this.

just like pellet stove pellets (and they probably are...)
these are just like pellet stove pellets, except way more expensive... they are too small to light one and have it stay lit, you can add it to a smoker that is already running, for some more fuel while it is running so it isn't bad... but it isn't great

Four Stars
Worked great but were insanely hard to light / get to stay lit. Once lit, they worked very well.

yes it work well with cotton balls and pine needles ...
yes it work well with cotton balls and pine needles. They will last a long time you only need 6 or 7 with one hive maybe two hives...

Hard to use
Very difficult to actually catch fire. They supply a couple cotton balls, but these are insufficient to light the pelllets on fire, or get them to smoke.
