- Pomodori Pelati Peeled Tomatoes, 2.5kg

I have been a regular customer of this product and bought it so many times before. Excellent quality tomatoes with typical italian flavour..great for pizzas and pastas. Earlier 400gms containers were available that was great. But,now only 2.5kg is available. Which are easily ruined for coastal indian weathers. So buying 2.5kg is a waste because we literally have to discard the tomatoes. Please consider bringing back 400gms containers. Its really a great product.

Using the right tomato for making marinara sauce truly does make a difference. These were up to mark. The tomato sauce tasted very similar to what you would find in Italian restaurants for pizza and pasta. The tin was dented but it did not affect the product at all. Confidently buy these tomatoes and bring a little Italy home.

Amazing! Just add salt cook with pizza and good to go. Stored in fridge in sealed container used for three weeks without any taste difference. Did not go bad either.

I have been purchasing this brand for making Pasta and Pizza. Taste is good. This is a single large tin, so you need to store the excess quantity after opening it. I think the packing information is somewhat vague on the product page.

What is one supposed to do with such a large pack? It’s not a commercial kitchen.. it said pack of 24. I assumed I’m getting smaller mini packs. This is one giant tin. Most inconvenient. How can a company list it like this? Amazon also unwilling to do anything about this

The 3kg tin I received was simply placed in an Amazon envelope, as ridiculous as it sounds. Due to this, it was deeply dented and bent out of shape all over, which made it very difficult to open with a can opener. Luckily, it wasn't leaking, so the contents were still usable. But this lazy approach to packaging is a serious risk for a non-returnable product. The product itself is amazing. I used it to make a delicious, rich bolognese sauce. I just hope the seller/Amazon can pack it with more care as I intend to place more orders in the future.

Have tried many sauces ,ragu , barilla and so many others..but this one is so simple to make and tastes out of this world..just blend the tomatoes (the small can), add 2 tbs butter and a whole onion..and just let it cook slowly for 30 min .it marcella's recipe .
