Nice Chair at a Great Price
I was a bit skeptical ordering this chair. I just threw out my last bonded leather desk chair. It lasted 5 years then started to peel. It took about 1/2 an hour to put this together & it was very easy. This chair seems better constructed than my last one, so I hope it lasts longer. When I sat in it, it was very comfortable. The back support was super supportive & hit just the right spot on my spine. My last chair was comfortable to a point, but I could only sit in it for about an hour before I started to get back pain. I sat in this chair for several hours without any back pain. That's very important to me. I have a very severe back injury, & I work from home, so I need a chair that works hard for me. I think this one will do the job. If I could afford a genuine leather chair, I would buy one. I know it would last a lot longer. I had one many years ago that lasted over 20 years. This chair is super comfortable, & it's a great price. I'm sure I'll get my money's worth. Bonded leather is real leather, but it's leftover pieces pieced together. Because the price is so affordable, it's worth a try. I give it a thumbs up!!!

Bang for your buck especially for guitarists
I bought it to sit at a desk and to play guitar in... the arm rests fold up so I can fold up the right one. I can sit up straight or kind of recline REALLY comfortably with a 12lb Les Paul and that's why I chose to leave a review (but see the modification below that I had to do). I highly recommend it for your home studio and I will probably take this sucker to jazz gigs now instead of a stool! (The chair lifts right off the stand, the stand comes right out of the wheel base and then you'll have 3 parts to put in the car easy.). Mine was $160 and despite the sipping time showing 2+ weeks, the box arrived in 2 days. So, I actually had to modify the chair to make it ideal for guitar. The arm rests fold up but not quite dar enough. Your shoulders can still rub them and the right one interferes with my strumming elbow SO, I popped the black plastic cap of the arm and saw 2 screws...pulled those and the arm came right of and I notices how it works. The whole thing is mage of plastic that I thought was pot metal, so it was easy to use a drill and a grinder to take half the stopper arcs off. (Had to take half off the inside two arcs with cutter wheel, then some off the outside with a drill used like a router and a flat screwdriver to pry off small bits. It was a little sloppy but the black cap covers that. Put the arm back on the chair and was in heaven as the arm folds up and completely our of my way. I'll have to remember to not let any groupies sit on that right arm when it's down because there's only half the plastic supporting it and I guess you could break it if you really tried. Last note. This is not leather of course and 1) If you have a Nitrocellulose laquer guitar, the finish might interact chemically with this vinyl stuff and discolor your guitar but it doesn't really tough when playing. (Just don't lay guitar on chair or any vinyl for a while.) 2) Your butt might get a little unventilated on this material but I'm already used to it and its not really an issue....its soft actually... a cover or pad could help. If you are short like under 5' 6" this chair does not lower enough for you to have a 90 degree hip, knee position with feet flat on the floor. I'm 5'10" guy and it about perfect but I'm glad I'm not any shorter. I do regret making Amazon even richer though. I usually shop and book mark and read reviews on here and then do the actual purchase at the big auction site because it's always cheaper and usually free shipping and supports more smaller businesses. Sometimes it takes a little longer but usually I find Fast and Free shipping there and ... they have more variety as Amazon just steers you to whatever products they make the most money on and you can't trust they variety and relative quality what you're seeing when you browse on Amazon.

Good Value
I think too many people have too high expectations when purchasing an office chair for less than $500. This is a $200 chair, made in China - as are 95% of all office chairs these days, the difference in prices reflects quality control and materials used. A $200 or less chair is going to be pleather, how thick? Varies. Will it last? Probably not... so some things to consider - get a chair cover, makes it last longer, if you are heavy, get a $10 dollar gas lift clamp to fix the height in place - simple (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09PN25FDW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Is the chair comfortable? I'm 6'0" 260lbs - and it is comfy for now, but the cushion will likely flatten over time. No worries, I have a Purple cushion handy for when that happens - those last forever. Setting expectations correctly MUST be part of the process! You sort of get what you pay for... people expecting an office chair that is perfect for their body and lasts forever while paying on the cheap are simply not being realistic. I'm a big man, this chair took me 30 minutes to assemble - tip: don't tighten anything until ALL the bolts are started. Absolutely love the arm rests, for a guy my size, they are a perfect height, perhaps a 1/2" high. The fact that they a) are short for desk work and b) flip up is just stellar - main reason I bought this chair! The contour of the seat back is also perfect, pretty close to 90º and the lumbar support is just right for me. I broke my back 30 years ago and have a difficult time with chairs that come with a seat back angled backward. This seat back has you sitting 100% upright. The seat width is ample for my lard butt and the front edge of the seat rolls off gently for less circulation strain behind the knees. For $200, and someone 5'9" to 6'0" and likes to sit up straight, this chair should be a perfect fit. The legs/base are a resin material and the casters are cheap nylon, they roll fine on a vinyl plank floor or that industrial hotel room low pile carpet. Might want to replace with softer/rubber universal aftermarket type if using a chair mat, especially one that sits on thicker carpet or a hardwood floor. Note on gas lift cylinders; they all leak down over time no matter the 'class' rating. Most have the bottom of the cylinder 'crimped', these wear out faster than the ones that have a welded bottom. This particular gas cylinder, while only rated as a Class III (250lbs), does in fact have a welded bottom, so for lighter folks, this will last a bit longer than most - see above for a "gas cylinder holder" if you are a heavier person. Good value, good buy.

C-O-M-F-Y Chair!
The best office chair I've ever owned and I've owned MANY in my business career! I am now retired but needed one for my "home office" out of where I now sell jewelry on Etsy. This chair is everything I wanted, gorgeous, comfortable and well-padded (back, seat and arms), adjustable up/down arms, lumbar support and a stable 5-arm base featuring easy/smooth rolling casters, very nice, quiet, smooth up down height adjustment. This chair came very well and very safely packaged for shipping! Everything was so well protected and then put into a heavy/thick/quality cardboard box! The directions were perfect...I scanned the code on the directions was taken to a video that was very well done and had everything figured out. I am a 65 year old woman with some health issues, including muscle weakness, so if I can put this thing together I'm sure you can do it too! The only thing I had a problem with (hence 4 stars for "easy to assemble") is because the very last screw holding the back to the arm needed to be pushed and held into place while placing the screw in and screwing it in, that's where my husband came in to help me...along with pushing the casters into the base. However, if I would have "wiggled" the casters they would have went right in, I was trying to push them straight down and that is not how they are meant to be put in, so my fault there. Pieces are well drilled and alignment of holes for screws was precision and perfect, very impressed with that workmanship and much appreciated!

Super comfortable, great quality, tremendous value for the money
I spent most of a day chair shopping on Amazon and other websites, time well spent as I ended up with this chair. I can't believe how comfortable and what good quality it is--amazing for the price. Have just finished assembling the chair and for me, an older woman, I was glad to have my husband there to help hold the back in place while attaching it; without a second person to help me, there would have been some bad words floating around! As one reviewer mentioned, the right hand arm screw holes were difficult to line up. Mine was too until I found the solution was to put in the top screw first, then the bottom one. As usual, all the screws should should be loose-ish until the last one is in, then tighten them all up. It came in a strong box, well packed, nothing broken. The wrench even had a handle which made it easier to hold and use. As we were putting it together, I kept saying to my husband, "I can't believe what good quality this is." Every other piece of furniture I've bought during this past year of being housebound due to COVID-19 has been damaged, disappointing quality, or both. Such a pleasant surprise with this piece. Good job, Starspace. It's very comfortable with a nice slope under the front of my legs. so no pressure there. Two fingers width between the edge of the chair and the back of my knees. The arms raise smoothly for scooting under the desk. Good looking leather and sturdy feel. A little raised up, the seat is the correct height for me (5'5") to have my feet flat on the floor, so would fit someone a bit shorter. Raised up more, it fits my husband at 5'10", and goes a bit higher for a taller person. I've attached a photo showing one arm raised as high as it'll go, the other lowered. It scoots right under the desk with the arms raised. Everything feels like quality, really unusual these days, and most pleasant, especially for such a reasonable price. Believe all the good reviews and GET THIS CHAIR.

Not a good chair
I bought this to replace a True Wellness office chair that started squeaking badly when I was rocking in it. People we asking me if my cat was OK on Zoom calls because of noise the chair was making. No fault of that chair, the noise started when my wife jumped on my lap and pushed the weight limit (I am 200 lbs, not her fault). This chair was no where near as comfortable as that one, to the point that I tossing this one in the trash and buying another one. One of the holes on the right arm do not match up to the holes in the base, so I was only able to secure 3 out of the 4 screws on the right arm. I swear they put rocks or something under the butt pad, it is lumpy and feels like I am leaning to the left all day. Don' get fooled by the pictures and cool fold up arms (other chairs have that feature too), this chair sucks. There is no branding on it at all so I am sure the manufacturer will just slap these pieces of junk into a new box and new Amazon add and still make money. I will will my new chair in a couple weeks and see if it fares any better.

Very comfortable, but covering material is thin and doesn't last
I don't know how many office chairs I've owned over the past 30 years... I think about 6 or 7. But the very second I first sat in this chair, I could tell it was the most comfortable office chair I'd ever bought, and that's not an exaggeration. My body fits into it like a glove. I should note that I am taller. I'm 6' 1". That could possibly be why the chair fits me so perfectly. The padding on the seat and back is the perfect balance of firm and plush. The padding on the arm rests, however, is insufficient. My arms instantly sink down to the hard plastic underneath. It could be worse, but firmer, more supportive arm rest padding would help a lot. All of the adjustments work fine. Since I am using the chair at an audio workstation, it's normal for me to regularly rock back to listen to the music I'm working on. By adjusting the rocking tension knob, this chair does it smoothly. A couple reviewers have said that they feel like they're about to slip out of the chair. This feeling is being produced by the front of the seat cushion, where the crook of the knee rests, having a plush, downward-curving slope instead of a firmer ledge-style cut-off. In my opinion, that's one of the things that makes this chair extra comfortable. You're not literally going to slip out of the chair. 2024 EDIT: Within the first year of owning the chair, I had to replace the major hardware that attached to the bottom of the seat because the metal had weakened, causing the chair to tilt. Within two years, the leather-like covering was flaking off the insides of the arm rests. Within three years, the covering on the seat had begun tearing and peeling away. Four years later, I still have my chair, but so much of the covering material has worn/peeled away. About 50% of my chair is covered in black upholstery repair tape. It looks ratty. Time for a new chair.

Soft and easy to assemble
The person in our family who is sitting on this chair weight like 250lbs, and the chair can take up to 300lbs, so nothing to worry if you weight less than 300. However the back is narrower than I thought but it still fits, it might be because our old one is very big that’s why it seem smaller. Super easy to assemble! It only took us 10-15 minutes to assemble! I was surprise how easy it was and the instruction is very clear. I only picked the main sentences that I need to assemble to read and I managed to put it together! Also! The tools, the one that we use to put all the things in is super useful. It looks like a T where you can hold it very well and easy to use. The one we usually get for assembly are like L shape which is very hard to use and tired. Very light! Our old office chair is super heavy, we didn’t notice it until we were moving them around. The chair is very light and comfortable. You can lift the handles if you don’t want it.
