Pepper Plant California Style Hot Sauce (Chunky Garlic, 64 Fl. Oz.)

I was visiting California and tasted this garlic hot sauce there. Amazing flavor and heat. I saw I could buy it on Amazon but missed out as it sells quickly. No wonder as it's fabulous! I ordered the large size jug at an amazing price. I couldn't be happier! Tastes great with not an overly potent flavor of garlic - it's got large pieces of chopped garlic but not overpowering and just the right amout of heat. This 64 ounces won't last long in my house!

This “sauce”, if you want to call it that, is pretty freaking good. I’d be more inclined to call it a salsa, and for that matter a chunky one at that. Full of nice chunky garlic. I mean there ain’t nothing skimpy about the garlic. Tastes fresh. Gilroys best, guaranteed. However... You’ll read the reviews on this sauce, if you’re so inclined. Probably 70% of the people are raising cane over the salt content. BELIEVE THEM. I was raised in North Africa. I consume a LOT of salt. A bunch. To the point no one eats off my plate due to salt. This is borderline to salty for me. Yeah I know. I can’t believe it either. Don’t let the saltiness deter you, it’s really that tasty. I tell you how to fix this where it’s palatable with tortilla chips. 2 cups Pace medium or hot salsa 1 cup Pepper Plant garlic 1/4 cup ZingZang Bloody Mary mix 1 whole Habanero seeds included This WILL light your rear end up but it freaking rocks on everything, and kills the saltiness of the garlic sauce while enhancing the Pace. If you don’t like it that hot cut back on the Habanero. Otherwise, use it as a marinade. It’s truthfully good stuff and bet your hienie I’ll be buying more, but I cook. A lot. All the time and there IS a place for this in my kitchen permanently. Believe it’s salty!!

While this isn't the hottest sauce I've ever had, the flavor is FANTASTIC. I'd say the heat is comparable to most habanero based hot sauces. There's a good amount of thyme in this and so it's wonderful on cajun food, especially gumbo. The chunkiness is really pleasant too though I purchased a squeeze bottle to portion this out with and it struggles with the chunks. Do with that what you will. The bottle it comes in is a solid jug that you won't have to worry about but I do think you'll need something smaller to put it in for every day use. Going back to the flavor, I have a buddy who uses this as a marinade and I'm looking forward to giving that a try.

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this sauce at a restaurant, on vacation, in Oregon. What a wonderful surprise! We had bought some while at the restaurant and kept going through the smaller bottles. So, I ponied up and got the gallon. Saved a ton of money and we are halfway through the jug after 6 months. This sauce is so good. It's got heat, depth, and such a great flavor. It doesn't set your mouth on fire but still gives you a nice kick. It's so good on eggs and hashbrowns.

I absolutely love the Pepper Plant hot sauce! It has the perfect balance of flavor and spice—not too hot, but still super tasty. The best part is it goes with literally anything—eggs, tacos, sandwiches, you name it. A must-have in my kitchen!

Grew up in the Central Coast area of California and have loved this stuff since childhood! I've lived outside of California for about 15 years now and so I would stock up every time we went to visit my parents. I just now discovered it was available on amazon and we just recieved our fisrst 1/2 gallon. So much more convenient! And as to the sauce it is amazing. Some say too much salt - I've had it for so long so I love it. I've also had the non Chunky Garlic style and to me it is not nearly as good as this flavor. Good on eggs, steak, nachos, the list goes on. There are very few things I have found that this stuff does not taste good on. Such a versitle hot sauce and the best part is it's not so hot you can't taste anything else. It has a perfect balance ofof heat and flavor. So glad I found this on Amazon!

This is a fine product, it is salty, so I added green mild sauce. I bought the regular also, and will by that one again.

I'm a garlic lover and a local restaurant had this great garlic hot sauce from Gilroy, California, on their tables. They sold it by the bottle at the register and I've purchased it there several times over the past few years. I just found it on Amazon where I can buy a half-gallon at just slightly more than 2 - 10oz bottles! Great product at a great price!
