VALUE! And - no mess or expense or heavy lifting involving your vehicle
Miracle Grow products all grow things huge - though I must say this year I am again surprised at how large and fast things have grown. The ability to get this "by Amazon delivered" is wonderful - if I ever do buy a car - I won't need to think about having to get a large one for things like this - and of course the smaller the car - often - the better gas and lesser cost - unless you are the "car connoisseur" kind of person who spends on other things (some folks spend over fifty thousand on a small car). I use taxi cabs and rarely go places (work in my garden and enjoy being there) - but when I had a vehicle - I had to lift the bags in and out of a trunk and there was always some dirt stuck to them from wherever they were purchased - so the car would need cleaning. No need to worry about weight of bags of dirt over your axle or weight distribution or shock absorbers or - hey! How much was I spending on tires, transmissions and brake pads anyway? I keep a "mover's dolly" in the garage - drag the box with the miracle grow on that - and wheel it by pushing with my foot to the patio or garage in order to fill my containers and grow things. The "cost of mailing" is very little compared to the value - and my plants have all done great!

Miracle Gro is not perfect but for the price it’s worth it
This bag is BIG which is definitely worth it for the price. I added a pic for comparison. I’m 5’10 and the bag is the length of my leg. I personally love Miracle Gro for my plants (inside and out). They do have fungus gnats which isn’t an issue for my outside plants and isn’t a deal breaker for my inside plants. If I need to use it for inside plants I’ll do one of two things: 1. I usually try to avoid putting soil immediately in my plants when I get a new bag. If I have to, I add cinnamon to the soil, and water them with diluted Neem Oil which takes care of the issue. 2. My usual route is to open the bag, pour the contents in a container and let it “bake” in the sun for a couple of days which effectively kills the fungus gnat issue. I understand this may be a lot of work for some people but, Miracle Gro is a relatively cheap brand of soil, so issues are to be expected. The work around really just depends on your patience and need. Hope this helps and I will definitely be purchasing again.

its change its mix
as along time customer as time goes on. its seems you product potting soil. is getting lower in quality. its full of sticks and large stuff. I don't think you care much about your customer or pride in your once a highly respected company. Come on think beyone the profits. We don't mind paying a fair price for a good product .But when you put your hand and it hurts you because its full of large pieces of wood. its like bags of wood chips not potting soil. I mightiest well pour it on my ground for a walkway. Please go back to your finer grade soil. where we can plant thing by digging in and not put the seeds under a wood chip.

Was very happy in 2017 with the product and the value - but please see UPDATE below
I've been using Miracle-Gro potting mix indoors, in deck plantings, and to supplement outdoor garden soil for years (probably decades) and fortunately placed my order before reading the reviews, or I would have had second thoughts. I used to have to buy multiple bags at my garden center just so that I could manage to lug them up 2 1/2 flights of stairs to my condo. However, this year I got smart and ordered from Amazon. First, the savings are amazing. Second, 2 cubic feet is a LOT of soil, at least twice the size of the bags I used to buy (much more than I had imagined). God bless the UPS guy for schlepping this "two-ton" bag all the way up the stairs! I saved a LOT of money by doing this, so I'm thrilled about the value. The soil itself was just as always: no bugs whatsoever, no visible larvae whatsoever, the barest amount of moisture in the soil so that it didn't have to be soaked before using. I did use the entire bag: first, upstairs for my indoor and deck plantings, and then in the outdoor garden that I help maintain. I'm so sorry that others apparently had a very different experience, but I am once again very happy with the Miracle-Gro and simply thrilled with the fact that my senior-citizen self no longer has to schlep it up here. UPDATE May 2018: last year, I paid $11.69 for a 2-cubic-feet bag. This year the price with free shipping has almost tripled to $33.22, plus I note that reviewers after I wrote mine in 2017 were still having bug problems--so I'm not going to take a chance this year.

I and my mother have used Mircle Gro products for years
An excellent medium for all plants, including house plants. Judging by the excellent results that I have had with Mircle Gro Potting Mix, I would say it is likely the best I have ever tried. I have tried other potting mixes over the years, including Vigoro, but their soil is too heavy and mud-like dense ... not good, particularly for baby plants. Mircle Gro is light, but not dust-like. Since all my plants are now thriving after using Mircle Gro (I used the rest of Vogoro and a bargain brand in my outside garden), I would say that apparently it has the right amount of nutrients to sustain plants. Problem: please make the 2 cu. bag more substantial (heavier bottom??) so that us, particularly ladies, have something to hold onto in order to tilt and pour.
