We have tried both- If the Price is Close, go for the Slide Cutter (SC) Version.
Our first order of this lasted our family of 5 just over a year. For the reorder, because now we are totally addicted to having this thing conveniently located on the countertop, I got the Slide Cutter (SC) model. I was a little upset when my wife threw out the old box with the metal saw tooth blade, but now that I have tried both- The Slide Cutter is the preferred method. Works far better than expected. The plastic is as good or better quality than the smaller store bought version. The real value is in having the heavy box on the countertop and being able to place the container or whatever is being covered on the counter and pulling the plastic with both hands over whatever is being covered. Doesn't end up in a big mess like when you use the smaller boxes and use one hand to hold the plastic and one hand to hold what is being covered. Not to mention not having to buy this stuff for over a year- very cost effective.

Reynolds 914 film is the best
This stuff is the best. I've been buying the 914 wrap since 2019. Each 2000 ft roll lasts me about 3 years. The SC (slide cutter) works great. The 12" stuff at the grocery store just isn't wide enough for so many things.

Excellent cling wrap and the cutter makes it perfect.
Here is your 10 year supply of cling wrap. The integrated cutter makes life so much easier. Just make sure the box is in good shape because this will last forever.

Cheap, thin and not easy to use.
Junk. This film is clingy, which is good, but it is so thin that the moment you cut a piece it folds up on itself. Try unfolding it. The instructions for the "Easy Glide" cutter are to insert it into the slot "This Side Out." What the heck does that mean? Nothing is labeled and there are no diagrams. I had to tape the box shut after assembling it because I wasted about 30 feet of film with the box opening up on itself. The only way this works is to put the item needing to be wrapped in front of the box and pulling it across and then cutting it. It still wants to shrink and wrinkle up on itself. Then try to pull the film off of the cutter for the next go-around. Yet, if it were not for the slide cutter, this would be a no-star product. Don't waste your money. I'd rather wrestle with the store boxes than have this behemoth take up so much space and offer no real benefits. I would return this but I don't like being one of those people that returns opened and used products. So, I'll live with it. It will probably last for the next 5 years because I'm sure I will revert to the handheld boxes from the grocery store and this will go unused. Maybe I should just give it to someone now instead of trying to find a place for this. Not happy.

good product but box eventually gives out
the plastic is thin but good enough and the product is fine except the box eventually gives out and I'm talking after a few years. it's unfortunate I wish it was a little more sturdy

The gift that keeps giving
I bought this for my husband who had been wanting a slide cutter plastic wrap for months. This will probably last us our entire lives and it’s so much easier and less frustrating to use than the jagged edge ones you buy at the grocery store. It makes putting away leftovers so quick and easy. Plus, if you have company over, they will be jealous of your gigantic plastic wrap. All around, genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever bought

So glad to have my Reynolds plastic wrap again!!!
I was introduced to Reynolds plastic wrap at Bible college. I would save meals for my roommate, and wrap them in the film that the kitchen used. This film was far superior to anything I'd used at home, so I made a point of remembering the brand. I got married and started my own household, and found a source for Reynolds plastic wrap at a local store. Turns out it wasn't carried everywhere, like the more popular brands were. Over the years, it became more difficult to find. Finally, I could find it only at a local Dollar Tree, and then they, too, stopped carrying it. I resigned myself to using Saran or Glad, but I missed the Reynolds. Reynolds usually doesn't cling much to itself until you are ready for it to (even using the tear-off boxes), rather than coming off the box in a mess. It also clings well enough to itself that it can tightly close a plastic bowl, unlike others. It does not slowly un-cling while in the refrigerator, unlike others. It's just simply the best wrap out there. Finally, one day, I suddenly realized I had never looked for it online! So I came to Amazon and, lo and behold, there it was! Of course, I could get it only in large foodservice boxes, but I didn't care! I was tired of using the other stuff! So I bought this box, and now I probably have a lifetime supply! I just parked it on the kitchen island. I wish I could put it away, but it's just too big. Oh, well, I'm just happy to have the Reynolds film again! The slide cutter works just as well as the one did back at Bible college, which is great. I was wondering, considering some of the reviews, but it works flawlessly. The box also has four little non-skid "feet" on it, so that helps it stay put while you use two hands to pull the film out.

Well Worth It
Last time I wanted some extra wide plastic wrap - and if you do anything much in the kitchen you know that what you find in your basic box of Glad Wrap is just too small to do anything but frustrate you - I bought a 100 foot roll on Amazon for almost 5 bucks. Decent enough product but cheap, cheesy box and a cutter which was next to useless and in any case five bucks? Really? So I bit the bullet and bought this and I went whole hog and got the pricier one which comes with the cutter. By the foot it's about 1/4 the price and while it's way more than most homes need so what? If it lasts five years, well, I've got pantry space. Very, very satisfied with the decision and the product is first rate. Highly recommend.
