It works!!
Looked a bit gimmicky to me, but really surprised how well it works. Captured 4 carpenter bees in 2 hours. More the next day. Some either escaped or were takem/eaten off sticky panels. Tried to make sure the rest stayed stuck.

Doesn't work
Did not catch ONE Carpentar Bee, only a few small flies & a spider. This was placed right where the bees are the most active too. I have a ton flying all over my wood porch, under and over it. I placed this where the most action with these bees is. They would just hover around the trap, but never one caught in the trap. It has been a waste of almost $13.00 which doesn't make me happy. I tried hanging both horizontal and vertical and it did not matter...those buggers where not taking the bait so to speak. PLUS this was a pain to put together in the first place, it doesn't come together so handle easy when taking from the package if you still want to waste your money on it. Probably the worse product I have purchased thru Amazon.

Bee on guard
Bee ready to trap you lumber bees. I used these a couple years ago and they caught lumber bees, wasp and other bugs. So when the bees returned this year, I ordered more. One of the traps had an end that came off. But for some unknown reason the bees aren’t attracted to them this year. I just have to hope and wait

Definitely going to buy again next summer!
Used this in combination with wasp spray when I had hundreds of wasps in my shed. Whenever I sprayed the wasps would be flying around and go straight to this trap; it got some flies too. The thing is completely covered! Worked so well!

?
I had carpenter bees so I bought these. The bees are gone but nothing on the bait. I’m just glad they are gone.

Worked for me
Anyone that lives in the South has experienced the dreaded Red Wasp. They are agressive and their sting is PAINFUL. I have had problems with them nesting in my soffits and eaves. I mean hundreds of these things buzzing around us while outside or trying to use the pool . Paid for extermination every season. Extermination controlled them but never eliminated them. So this year I was about ready to call again. Then I saw these. Thought I would give them a try. I knew where they nested. I waiting for a cool drizzly day. Got out my ladder. Crawled up to the roofs eave. Screwed in some small hooks. Hung these traps. (With bird guard) I waited and observed for a week or two. Low and behold, wasps started getting stuck to the glue. Not lots of them but noticeable. I’m not sure what happened nor am I 100% certain it is because of these traps, but my wasp problem is gone. I mean GONE! Don’t even see them anymore. I’ve heard they will relocate if they see hornets nests near them. Maybe because I hung them so near their nest they decided to vacate. Either way. I am very grateful I gave these a try. I am extremely pleased with the results. I hope they work as good for you. Good luck.

Totally ineffective and useless.
I have a metal shed that had a nest in it as it had been guarded for weeks by a carpenter bee to the point I could not get in to it except at dusk when the bees stop flying. Finally, I found and ordered this trap. I installed it right on the entrance to the shed. After several weeks, the trap had caught exactly two houseflies and one honey bee. Now it is weeks later and it's caught a few more houseflies and a couple wasps. Not a single carpenter bee has been caught.
