Yes, it does fit the wider, red albuterol inhaler.

Q: Has anyone used this case with a proair respiclick inhaler?

I use it with a Walmart over the counter inhaler called Primatene MIST if you want to compare size. Works great, no longer losing pumps in my gym bag or purse. Very cute too.

Q: What happens if you drop it?

It may get dirty but it will be fine. My child has dropped hers many times. She uses her for school and sports.

Q: Is the case waterproof

I would say it is water resistant it can take some rain but I wouldn’t submerge it in anything. The zipper is cloth so there’s a good chance water could get in through there.
