Best Canning Lids I've Found
I tried two different brands of inexpensive canning jars and lids, but I won't do that again. I made a batch of fancy jam for holiday gifts and used a combination of Ball and off-brand lids; only the Ball lids made the familiar popping sound when the domes inverted as I removed them from the water bath. The off-brand lids either didn't invert at all or took a really long time and did not "pop". You can't take chances when you are preserving food, so I'm going to stick with Ball jars and lids from now on. They are a reliable, high-quality product that I can trust.
