Bild Premium 1200 leads of 0.5mm Mechanical Pencil Lead Refills (HB Mega, 0.5 mm)

My Ramblings I love pencils, mechanical pencils, and it’s nice to find a s-load of lead cheaply, that doesn’t break constantly, and writes decently. The Good Stuff I’m heavy handed when it comes to writing and have a tendency to press really hard, so having lead that doesn’t snap every other letter is absolutely needed. This lead is holding up to my abuse, plus leaves nice, dark lettering. Anywho, I like it and would buy again. Oh, and did I mention how inexpensive it was? It was cheap!!! Who May Use/Like It Those needing lead that will hold up to some pressure and writes well as well (or should I have used too?). Me Final Thoughts Me be happy and was pleasantly surprised. This is for the . 5mm 2B lead. At first, I had a problem with constant lead breakage until I changed the pencil I was using. No more breakage. The lead is dark (which is what I wanted... It helps to know what the "B" in 2B means.) Because the lead color is so sharp and dark for writing, I will use this lead from now on. Btw, I used a Paper Mate break resistant pencil to stop breakage.

I purchased the style "2B, 0.5mm" for reference. HB is decent hardness, but it writes lightly on some types of paper, and I prefer 2B for writing even if it means I have to advance the lead more often. HB is fine on some types of paper, like the one in the attached picture, but on others it is very scratchy and hard to see. This Bild graphite is good quality and a great value. I haven't had any issues with it breaking, and it's just soft enough to make good dark lines without being too soft and weak. Yes, with softer and darker leads you will have to advance the lead more, but that's just part and parcel. I tested it out in one of my favorite mechanical cursive writing pencils, the Zebra M-301, but my favorite pencil for printing or writing numbers is the Kuru Toga which might work better for you if you have issues with lead breaking as it spins the lead when the tip is lifted and can prevent sharp corners that can make the lead catch and break. I'm in a habit of spinning my mechanical pencil when I write in cursive (as the tip lifts off the paper less often). I can't wait to try this lead in the Kuru Toga pencil, but I have to order a new one as I bent the tip in my pocket. I have used other 2B leads in the Kuru Toga and they work wonderfully. I'll add to this review after I try it. I think, for the amount of this Bild lead you receive, it's an awesome deal and definitely worth it.

I use this for when my students run out of lead. Not the highest quality but not bad either.

Product description clearly states several times that you are supposed to get 4 packets of 24 black leads (total 96 black leads) and 6 coloured ones. Only 3 packets arrived (total 72 black leads) and 6 coloured ones.

Bought to use in the Papermate Pencil 2 and I love these lead sets better than the ones that came in the papermate! These are exactly the good shape, they write softer and they are lighter which is great because the originals were too dark and bled all over the sheets and my hands. Adore these! They are the best!

The Bild Premium Mechanical Pencils Lead Refills (HB) perform well and don't snap as easily as some. Good product and reasonably priced.
